Top 6 Countries You Must Visit ASAP!

I bet it is on everyone’s bucket list to travel the world and explore new cultures. I am one of those people who want to explore every inch of the world and see its beauty because one cannot appreciate beauty through pictures on the internet. I get so jealous when I scroll through my Instagram feed and see people’s post and it makes me want to be them even more. I have a few places on my mind that I want to visit and I will list them and promise myself that I will visit at least one of the places listed.

1) India – This country is right next to my birth home(Pakistan) and I have never stepped foot in that nation. Pakistan and India used to be one country until they split in 1947. I watch a lot of Indian tv serials and Bollywood movies, where they show the beauty of India. I have been told that India is similar to Pakistan but I want to see it through my own eyes.

2) Italy – This country is known to be a romantic country but that is not the reason why I want to visit it. I took Italian classes since middle school all the way to college, so what best place to practice my broken Italian other than the country itself. Also, I love Italian food and eating the authentic food would be pretty freaking amazing.

3) Japan – This nation has to be the most full of tradition, culture and positive vibes. Sure, everyone loves to visit Tokyo and I will visit it too but I would love to explore the shrines and temples. The way the temples are built is just amazing and awe-inspiring.

4) Greece – Ever since, I took a course about Greek theater. I have wanted to visit it for so long and the architecture is praise worthy. The ancient theater where so many plays were performed screams “come to me! Visit me!”. Also, the white structure just is amazing to see and I can gaze at it for hours on end.

5) Spain – I watched “Cheetah Girls: 2 “ when I was young and they filmed the movie in Barcelona and I fell in love. The culture and vibe attracted me to the country and that was the first country that I added to my bucket list. The culturally diverse country, music, and food is what’s making me excited to go there. ASAP!

6) Ireland – From the various pubs to the vast greenest countryside, this place is a must to visit. And, who doesn’t love the Irish accent and Celtic music. This nation is a must to visit with your friends and go wild. It will create a lot of memories which you can later laugh about and reminisce.

These are my top 6 places to visit. There are more but these are my must visit as soon as this girl gets some money in her bank account. I am sure there are people who would love to go the places I have listed and who knows maybe the people who wish to visit one of these places might bump into me and create memories. It’s a stretch but anything is possible!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
