Many people only see Duluth, Minnesota as being too cold to visit any time of the year. They see it being so far north that it can't possibly get warm enough to do anything fun. Well, they're wrong. Duluth is a beautiful town year-round, with many things for anyone to do! To help you figure out what to do the next time you visit Duluth, I have included my top five favorite things to do!

1. Canal Park

Canal Park has amazing restaurants to eat at and the bonus with staying at the hotels is you have an ocean view. Well, it's Lake Superior but it's close enough. You can take a walk or bike ride down the boardwalk, or walk up to the lighthouse and watch boats come in.

2. Glensheen Estate

The Glensheen Estate is a beautiful place to visit. It has so much history behind it, and the creative architecture that was put into the home will leave you breathless. You can take a tour during the day of the estate or if you're feeling daring, you can do the flashlight tour.

3. Great Lakes Aquarium

The Great Lakes Aquarium is great for all ages, trust me. I'm a college kid and I love going there. They have a wide variety of different fish species that you can learn about. My personal favorite is the otter exhibit. They're so cute, how could you not love it!

4. Enger Tower

Enger Tower is a great place to go at any time of the year. It gets a little chilly at the way top in the winter, but the view is worth it. It's a rounded tower so you have a 365-degree view of most of Duluth. The best time to go is at night when the whole city is lit up. It's unbelievably beautiful.

5. Minnesota's North Shore Scenic Drive

It will probably be the best drive you've ever experienced. You're driving next to a Great Lake, and you get to see all that Duluth Minnesota has to offer, nature wise. It's a great thing to do for the day. And, it can bring you to Split Rock or Gooseberry Falls, which are two other places that are a guaranteed must to visit.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
