Top 5 Things All Cat Owners Know

As an avid feline lover, there are very few downsides to owning a cat. With the endless love and care we give and receive from our feline friends, here are 5 things all cat lovers know…

1. The shedding is disgusting

After recently brushing my cat out in the back yard, I was mortified at how much extra fur she really has. After 10 minutes, which seemed like forever, I had enough fur in my hard to create an entirely new cat.

2. Hairballs

On the topic of grooming, the ‘self’ clean method that all cats are known for isn’t always the most pleasant thing. After 5 minutes of hacking and coughing, they leave you with a little present, at exactly the worst times.

3. Cuddles

Cats are infamously known for their cuddles. Nothing in the world is more comforting to a cat lover than the sound of a gentle purr as your feline friend cuddles up with you in bed.

4. Litter Boxes

Cleaning the litter box twice a week at times could seem excessive to some… until you skip a day and are forced to deal with the seemingly endless scooping.

5. Endless Love

Every cat owner will tell you they have the best cat in the world. Regardless of age, gender, or color every cat will give back the love they receive. It is important to keep in mind that you frline will always be there when you are a little upset and just need a pick-me-up because at the end of the day what’s one more cat nap?

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
