Top 5 Sushi Restaurants In Suffolk County

I know I'm not the only person obsessed with sushi. Living on Long Island, you have great access to so much local seafood, and great sushi is one of the many benefits that go along with it. I've been to my fair share of sushi restaurants; here are my personal top five for Suffolk county.

5. Haiku

Haiku is a small charming place located in the heart of downtown Riverhead. They offer a variety of rolls and offer a lunch special where you can get two or three rolls with a soup or salad for a fixed price. The atmosphere is great and the people are always so kind.

Address: 40 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901

4. Osaka

Osaka is all about first impressions. The interior is cool and chic and the service is outstanding. The presentation is always out of this world, I've never been disappointed. In addition the sushi itself has never let me down, and probably never will.

Address: 99 NY-25A, Shoreham, NY 11786

3. Sakura Japanese Restaurant

As a long time customer, I can truly say that Sakura has stepped it up. Newly renovated, this family friendly restaurant offers an eclectic menu of both rolls and sashimi that is sure to please everyone at the table. Their lunch special is also worth checking out: two rolls for $9 or three for $11, each with a soup or salad.

Address: 1097 Old Country Rd, Riverhead, NY 11901

2. Wasabi

One of the most visually appealing places I've been to. This place looks like a club, the lighting is insane and the place is filled with great energy. This is where you want to go if you want to try a new exotic specialty roll. They're a little pricey, but it's well worth it.

Address: 725 NY-25A #15, Miller Place, NY 11764

1. Hoshi Sushi

Hoshi has multiple locations, but the Patchogue one is the best in my opinion. The service is impeccable and the sushi is the best tasting I've ever had. It's always super fresh and super pretty, they're also reasonably priced and have a wide variety of rolls to choose from.

Address: 35 W Main St, Patchogue, NY 11772
