Top 5 Study Spots In Eau Claire
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

With school back in swing, I have started to get back into the habit of using my free time to study and get homework done. This is a hard task to get used to again, but having the right atmosphere definitely helps. I’m someone that loves studying in coffee shops, but I also like it to be quiet when I have a lot of reading to do. I have a wide range of places I like to study based on what I have to do so I compiled a list of my absolute favorite spots in Eau Claire to hit the books at.

1. The Cabin

The coffee shop in Davies, The Cabin, is one of my favorite places on campus. I love that the aura of the shop is so peaceful with the colorful lights, warm fireplace, and cozy chairs. It’s a great spot to work on a paper or finish an assignment at.

2. 4th Floor of McIntyre Library

If I need to concentrate on a really long reading or study for a difficult exam, I head straight to the 4th floor of the library. It’s the perfect spot to make sure I stay focused on homework and studying. If you haven’t studied there yet, I’d definitely recommend it.

3. Racy D'Lene's Coffee Lounge

Another coffee shop that I love to study at is Racy’s. It has such a relaxing and chill vibe, which is perfect for reading, finishing assignments, and studying for exams. I could spend all day at Racy’s doing homework and it wouldn’t seem so bad.

4. 2nd Floor of Phillips Hall

I personally haven’t checked out the 2nd Floor of Phillips Hall, but I heard from a friend of mine that it’s an awesome study spot. It’s quiet and hardly anybody walks by so it’s easy to stay focused on whatever you’re doing. It is definitely a spot that I will be checking out!

5. Starbucks

I love Starbucks so of course it is one of my favorite places to do homework at. Starbucks has an atmosphere that is perfect for getting stuff done. I went there almost once a week last year because I always got so much done and was able to mostly concentrate on my homework. The good coffee is also a bonus!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
