There are many reasons to be excited about the fall season: apple cider, pumpkin spice everything, Halloween, candles, boots, I could literally go on and on... While I am super excited about all of those things, I am also very happy that all of my favorite TV shows are back and better than ever. Even though the semester is well underway, I still try and keep up to date with the latest episodes AKA the perfect excuse to procrastinate. (Thank you so much for uploading right away Hulu, you are a lifesaver.)

1. Grey's Anatomy

Meredith and the gang are back for their 13th season and they are not disappointing at all. Tension is running high after the whole Alex and Deluca incident and others are put against each other because of it. Amelia and Owen are enjoying their newlywed life and we wonder as to what’s going happen with the Maggie, Meredith, Riggs love triangle. Also, can we talk about the fact that Jackson and April named their daughter Harriet…? Regardless, this show is always on the top of my “to be watched” list.

2. Law and Order: SVU

If you’re looking for a show to binge watch for the rest of your natural born life this is the one considering it is currently at its 18th season. Olivia Benson is one of my favorite characters on TV ever and I am already satisfied with the two episodes I have watched. This season they are covering many different kinds of topics and it has been rumoured that Elliot Stabler is making a comeback. Will this interfere with Liv’s new relationship with Tucker? Hmm...but picturing Elliot meet Noah makes my heart happy.

3. Scream Queens

5 words: JOHN STAMOS AND TAYLOR LAUTNER. What more do I even need to say? Back for a second season, it’s a little early to tell what direction this show is going in. There’s a new killer on the loose and Hester is holding back the info. #suspicious All I really know is that Dean Munch still rubs me the wrong way and it’s absolutely hilarious to watch the Chanels be nurses.

4. How To Get Away With Murder

I’m going to start by saying that this is probably top 5 most confusing shows on the planet, but we still watch it anyway because it’s hella addicting. We start to see the true aftermath of the events that took place during the previous two seasons and already have a scandal on our hands that needs explaining. If you’re looking for suspense, look no further. Also, what is Frank up to?

5. American Horror Story

AHS is always a bit of a wildcard, mostly for the fact that they have a new story with every season and a revolving door of actors. This season is definitely unlike the others in its nature: the premise is basically that it's through the eyes of a reality TV show with every character having two actors play them. Three episodes in and still no sign of Evan Peters so we’re off to a slow start. Taking place in Roanoke Island, North Carolina, we get a bit of a history lesson hinting to and commenting on events that took place there in the 16th and 17th centuries. While I’m still torn about whether or not I like it, it sure is different than past seasons and is keeping my interest.

Happy Fall & Happy Binge Watching!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
