As a college student, I often find myself constantly procrastinating any real obligations I have and instead binge-watching or catching up on T.V. shows. I seemingly forget that homework and studying are a requirement to graduate and attain that lovely thing called success. Though I should probably be encouraging and tell you to do your work!!! I can't seem to find it in me to actually get the words out. So instead here is a list of five shows you should definitely watch:

1. "Game Of Thrones"

This soul-crushing show is actually one of the highlights of my life. Though nothing you hope for actually happens and all of your favorite characters die, it is impossible to not find yourself entrapped by the complexities and plots of "Game of Thrones." This show not only explores the various relationships between family members but also what occurs when those precious to you are brutally taken away from you. The various points of view allow you to gain perspective of how people from various backgrounds can simultaneously be connected.

2. "Stranger Things"

If you loved E.T., Goonies, and anything Spielberg as much as I did as a child, you’ll definitely enjoy Stranger Things. This show surrounds itself around the mysterious disappearances happening in a small town and one girl who may be the key to solving everything. It’s completely enthralling, mysterious and honestly straight up scary at times. This is only combated by how completely adorable everyone is in the cast.

3. "How To Get Away With Murder"

This drama can only be described as a television phenomenon derived of so many twists and turns that you find yourself lost in the amount of lies and half-truths spoken by every single character on the screen. Honestly, if you don’t find yourself suffering from trust issues after watching this show, you’re lucky.

Following the life of Annalise Keating, we are able to see that everyone has a past they'd rather keep hidden and that no secret is safe.

4. "The Office"

There are no words to describe how remarkable, unique and funny The Office can be. Though surrounded by a cloud of hilarity it can also delve itself into serious and saddening issues. Through the use of jokes, love and friendship we are able to see how even the most different of people can come together and form irreplaceable bonds.

5. "Supernatural

Lastly and definitely not least, Supernatural is a dynamic show that follows two brothers on the path of vengeance, redemption, and brotherhood. As the title suggests the show revolves around supernatural entities and the brothers' quest to rid the world of these creatures. The show also focuses on the unbreakable bond between the brothers and how much family means in a world shrouded in darkness.

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!

I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.
