We all know the feeling of having nothing to do, or in some cases, tons to do and just no desire to do them. And we sit back and log into Netflix and nothing interests you at the moment or you are just in a Netflix slump not knowing what to watch next. Well, I am here to help get you out of that slump. So fasten your seat belts, pull up your Netflix accounts and be ready to add these 10 shows to your 'to-watch lists'.

1. "Parks and Recreation"

I specifically put this in the number one spot because it is my absolute favorite show. It is a comedy about a small town in Indiana called Pawnee. The main character Leslie Knope is a government official who literally adores her job so much that you as the viewer just learn to adore her just as much. Literally, when I grow up, I want to be Ms. Knope! Every character is played by a comedian. You can never go wrong with this show.

You watch a scary movie and don't want to go to bed just yet...."Parks and Recreation" is there for you. When you really should be doing your five-page essay that is due by midnight but you're just not up to writing it yet.."Parks and Recreation" is there for you. When you fail that five-page paper that was due by midnight...well "Parks and Recreation" is there for you. Seriously, if you have not seen this, you are missing out. And if you have seen this, go watch it again...you know you want to.

2. "One Tree Hill"

This is a 9 season drama that will literally have you on an emotional roller coaster. I don't want to release any spoilers, but let's just say this mixes basketball and family and friends and high school drama all in one television show. It is one of them shows that will stick with you forever after you watch it

3. "Gossip Girl"

"Hey, upper east siders.." I know by now practically everyone has seen or heard about "Gossip Girl," but it is a classic in my book. This is also a drama series. It involves fashion, class, high school and a mysterious blogger who seems to know all the gossip surrounding the high-end society. The mystery, humor, and class is what keeps you hooked on this particular show. "You know you love me xoxo..."

4. "Stranger Things"

This is a new television series that is a Netflix original and it has sparked an epidemic. It is different and witty and scary. In other words.. a perfect combination. In this small town of Indiana, a local boy goes missing and then a random sketchy girl shows up and befriends the group of geeky boys who were friends with the missing boy. This girl seems to know where their friend has gone, so they all go on an adventure that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Every episode is jam-packed with action -- the producers did not make any filler episodes. I do not want to give spoilers so you will just have to check it out for yourself. You will definitely not be sorry.

I'll just say this is normally not the genre of shows I watch, but my boyfriend kept on and on about watching it instead of watching "Parks and Recreation" reruns all the time *wink wink* so I finally gave in and I think I was more into it than he was. Heads up: it was just announced that there is going to be a season two and I couldn't be more excited.

5. "New Girl"

This show has slowly become one of my top five television shows out there. It is about this quirky female teacher who moves into a loft with four guys..what could possibly go wrong? This is the type of show you watch when nothing else is on until you realize that this show is something worth paying attention to. The show is so dorky that it is hard not to fall in love with the characters. Season 5 was recently added to Netflix while Season 6 just came out on live tv.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
