If you know me, you know that I'm a foodie. Columbus, Indiana (my hometown) has some great local restaurants. I have compiled a small list of my top 5 favorite places to eat while I am home. This is strictly opinion, but the next time you're in Columbus, I would strongly suggest stopping by some of these local restaurants.

5. Joe Willy's Burger Bar

Joe Willy's has some of the best burgers, hot dogs, and side dishes. The environment is laid back and chill. The staff is super welcoming and helpful when asking them questions about the food. I would highly recommend visiting Joe Willy's if you are in the mood for a great burger place.

4. Soups By Design

Soups by Design has some of the best homemade soups for a low price. For only $6, you get a bowl of soup, a drink, a piece of bread, and a cookie (or an apple for a healthier choice). The buffalo chicken soup is absolutely the best, and even better for only $6.

3. Musillami's Drive In

Musillami's is a great old fashioned, seasonal drive-in. Their delicious food is only available during the warmer months, and their food and ice cream is the absolute best. After having just one, you will be having dreams about their Pizza Burgers during the winter months.

2. Zwanzigz

Zwanzigs has the best pizza that I have ever had. Multiple people that I have spoken to from out-of-town know about Zwanzigz. Their breadsticks are just as good as the pizza. They even have their own brewery if you are interested in a pitcher of some freshly brewed beer with your meal. There is a large selection of beer and flavors of pizza.

1. Le Petit Caraibes

Having only been open for a short amount of time, Le Petit Caraibes has some of the best food around and is always busy. Their Jerk Chicken has the best seasoning and their green beans have the best flavor. With reasonable prices for a lot of food, and great options for vegetarians, the menu is for everyone.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
