Most of us, at one point or another, have sat down and started NBC’s The Office. Some of us have watched an episode or two while others have watched it 9 times over (totally not me). There’s a lot of humor and emotion in the show, making some scenes easy to relate to. Here are 5 of the most relatable ones:
1. “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way” – Michael Scott
More often than none, we just tend to make up speeches as we’re in the middle of presenting to make sure it meets the time requirement. It’s good to know that we aren’t entirely alone when we just “wing it.”
2. “There’s too many people on this earth. We need a new plague.” – Dwight Shrute
How many times have you been walking through the halls at school and it took way longer to get to class than it needed to? Or even just trying to get some Chik-Fil-A on campus but the line is all the way to the door? Dwight says our deepest thoughts in this episode.
3. “I’m running away from my responsibilities… and it feels good.” – Michael Scott
Exactly what I think most of us would love to do during finals week. It’s easier said than done, and definitely a nice thing to daydream about when you're avoiding studying.
4. “Did I stutter? ” – Stanley Hudson
Sometimes you just have to act extra confident in the answers you give during class… even when your answer is Abraham Lincoln during a math lecture and your professor questions your answer.
5. “I am an early bird and a night owl. So I am wise and have worms.” – Michael Scott
College sometimes (*ahem* always) asks a lot of our time, like late night studying and early morning classes. Michael helps us realize some of the good in enduring both.
