Everyone has something they are obsessed with and for me, that's Christmas! Some people think I'm crazy with how obsessed I am with Christmas, but if you stop and think about it, there are many reasons to absolutely love Christmas. There are so many reasons to love Christmas, and why it's not just all about the getting. Here are my reasons why I believe Christmas is so amazing!

1. The Meaning

In today's world we get so caught up in the commercialization of Christmas. We think it's all about all about the presents, and while the presents are nice there is so much more to the holiday. Christmas is supposed the be about celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If it wasn't for Him we wouldn't have been saved from ourselves. I'd say that's something to celebrate.

2. The Lights

This time of year one of the most fun things to do is drive around and see all of the lights. People spend so much time on the decorations and light. When you look at all of it there is something magical about it. The lights are so amazing and beautiful.

3. The Smell

People look at me funny all the time when I say this, but Christmas has a specific smell. It's like a combination of gingerbread, pine needles, and cinnamon. When I smell that Christmas smell it makes me all warm, cozy, and happy.

4. Coming together

Christmas is the one time of the year that families try to come together. This is the time of year that family members will see each other, and not have seen each other for a long time. It's nice that everyone comes together to spend time together, and catch up.

5. Giving Back

As I was saying earlier the presents are nice, but one of my favorite parts is the giving back. There is something about the holiday season that just seems to put people in better moods, and they give back more. I love giving back because just seeing the joy and happiness on people's faces warms my heart and gives me joy.

Christmas is the best holiday ever. There are so many reasons that Christmas is so amazing, and these are just a few reasons. But the most important thing to remember about the Christmas season is that it isn't just about the getting. Remember there are more important reasons to love Christmas.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
