There are many television series out there which means there are many different characters to go along with them. One character in particular really stands out to me, Nathan Scott from "One Tree Hill." We have seen him overcome adversity; we have seen him on top of mountains. We have seen him at the best and the worst of times. Nathan Scott is human to us. We can relate to him and that is why he is one of our favorite characters.

We have seen him at his best

He has been on top of the world and he still manages to stay humble and grounded. We all look for this in the real world. We love when people have huge success stories but know how to keep their composure. There is a difference between cocky and confidence and Nathan Scott has that line figured out perfectly.

We have seen him at his worst

Sure, everyone loves a good success story, but there are a lot of failures in the real world. We have seen Nathan at his worst, one example is when he was in his accident and had to be in the wheel chair. He had never been in such a dark place. Some people have been there and can completely relate to him, and others sympathize with him. Some people have hit their version of rock bottom and Nathan’s situation may have showed them that there is always someone who has it worse than they do. Nathan is such a relatable character because he has failed and it is shown that it is okay.

He loves his family like there’s nobody else in the world

The way that he looks at his family, you can just see the love in his eyes. His kids are his world and you can tell even by the little things that Nathan does such as telling his son that he can walk to the park but he must keep his phone on him and then call him. Then Nathan turns to his baby girl and tells her that she won’t be allowed to leave the house until she is at least 30. This just shows how much he truly cares for his family. He does so much for them and even sacrifices his basketball career for them. He loves them and does anything for them.

He does the little things for Haley

Yes, Nathan loves his family but Haley is a whole different story. You can tell that Haley is the love of Nathan’s life. There are so many times throughout each episode where I catch myself saying “wow relationship goals.” Nathan does all of the little things for Haley. He pays attention to her wants and needs and he is her balance point. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. There is no way that you can’t look at the two of them and not be in love with their relationship.

He works hard for what he wants

This is one of the biggest reasons that Nathan is a favorite TV character for many people. No matter what Nathan wants, he is going to work hard for it. He worked hard to keep his relationship with Haley alive and well. He worked very hard for his basketball career and to make it to the NBA. Everything that Nathan puts his mind to, he works hard and accomplishes. This is admirable to all who watch the TV series, making him a favorite.

Nathan Scott is always going to be a TV favorite for all who watch the show. He has so many characteristics that people look up to and admire and aspire to be like. He is a one of a kind character and he is someone to aspire to be like.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
