I hear the words, "Country Music is so stupid," more times than I would like to in my life. Which is completely disappointing to hear, in my opinion. I adore Country Music with a passion, and have been listening to this genre all my life. From growing up shouting the lyrics to Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and Garth Brooks. To falling in love with this new era of Country Music with artists like Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, and so many more; I LOVE IT ALL. I strongly believe Country Music has something to offer everyone in life. A lot of people think Country Music is completely dead and gone, it's not the way it was when it first started, and it's making more of a "pop genre" sound. Well, of course it's not going to be exactly like it was when it first started, it's a whole new generation! What I love about Country Music, is that the lyrics come from the heart, and it's a way to tell stories about everyday people. Hopefully, by the time you're done reading this article, you'll too believe that Country Music is the best, with these tops five reasons.

1. Country Music can be played for the ears of all ages.

I feel in this generation; we don't censor things as much as we used to. Which is fine! But, of course there are still some people who don't want their young children to hear such violent words or things. Country Music rarely has any swear words, or illegal situations mentioned. Yes, I know they still have a good majority of songs that talk about sex, but I feel they don't use the subject in an inappropriate way. In no world ever, would you hear a male Country Artist singing about having sex with a girl then getting with her best friend in the same night too, while getting high. No, just no; that's not how we roll. Sex is mentioned as a beautiful thing in Country songs, it's never talking about hitting and quitting it. Country Music makes you believe in love and the good things in life. It's not at all about drugs, stealing, etc... Country Music has so many different topics that are appropriate for everyone to listen to. Which brings me to my next reason...

2. Country Music always has a variety of topics.

A lot of people say Country Music always has the same lyrics. Talking about a bar, a girl broke my heart, blah blah blah.... I can't argue that a lot of Country songs don't have the same subjects of love and heartbreak, and involve a bar; but they also have songs that deal with war, losing loved ones, moving on, growing up, wanting to go back, etc... there are just so many! It's not the same song over and over again. Country Music deals with real issues, of everyday life and people. I bet you everyone can find at least one Country song that they can relate to. These songs are stories, and they come from the heart of the person who's writing them.

3. Country concerts are the BEST concerts.

Maybe it's just me, but Country concerts are my absolute favorite. I've been to so many, I can't even keep count anymore. The artists put on the best shows; and I just feel so comfortable and at home there. I can look around and see all different sorts of people of all ages. Some with a beer in their hand, some without, but always having everybody looking forward to having a good time. The Country Artists are so grateful for their fans, you can tell by the way they interact with the crowd. They do encores, they get the fans involved on stage, it's really quite an amazing experience. I still have yet to leave a Country concert feeling disappointed. I feel like it's impossible! Going to so many Country concerts, I believe they are just some of the greatest times that I've had in my life. Memories that I'll always cherish, and that always make me looking forward to my next concert. I've honestly seen some Country Artists over 3 times or so, just because of how good of a show they put on.

4. Country Music has shown me to have high standards when it comes to Men.

No I do not have impossible high standards, when it comes to men, but they are high. Country Music shows me how a real man should treat a girl. How he should act and not act. Because of these songs I listen to, I feel like I learned what good morals are in this generation. I think a lot of girls feel the pressure to sleep around because it's a "normal" thing to do to impress a guy. Country Music reassures me that I don't have to be that girl, and that someday someone will love me just the way I am. I know how I should be treated, and know how I shouldn't be treated because of these songs I hear in Country Music.

5. Country Music is good for the soul.

I believe Country Music is good for the soul, no matter what mood you're in, it can always put a smile on your face. I know it does on mine. Even when I'm not listening to it, I can always be running the lyrics of a song in my head. I think this genre of music is real and it reminds us of this beautiful life we have. If we're lost, if we're happy, mad, sad, etc... Country Music is there with a song for us. Country Music is my life, and it should be yours as well too!

Although I listen to many different genres besides Country, it will always be my favorite. For Pete sakes, I have over 600 songs on my Country Music playlist. I understand that people have different opinions on music, and if you don't like it; your loss! I will always defend this genre because I love it so much. Country Music is the best; and despite it's recent flirtation with a more of a Country Pop sound at times, it still has some of the greatest artists in the world representing this type of music. Passionate artists who care about what really counts; good music! Country Music is LIFE, and I don't care what anyone else says!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
