The top QB prospects entering the 2019 NFL Draft

Top 5 Quarterback Prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft

Quarterback is arguably the most important position in the NFL, and every year a few teams need a QB. Below are the top QB prospects to enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Will Grier

Will Grier is a very solid player, and at the end of his career he may become a pro bowl caliber QB, but as of right now he seems like a high end backup/low end starter. If I were a team with an older QB, such as the Saints, Patriots, or Steelers, I may take a risk on Grier in the second or third round of the draft to hopefully develop him into a future star. Grier has many comparisons to Baker Mayfield coming out of college, but the matter of fact is that he isn't that good yet. Grier's upside is high, yet he is not a first round value. He is still one of the better QB's in this draft making him fifth ranked.

Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones has all of the traits of a star NFL QB. He's tall, has a good arm, is a leader, and is pretty damn accurate. The only thing he lacks is the star power. Coming from Duke, which is more known as a basketball school rather than a football school, Jones has been overlooked in the NFL. He hasn't led his team to big wins, but despite that he's still a solid QB. He is definitely a first round talent, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a team such as the Redskins to be interested in him.

Drew Lock

About this time last year, Drew Lock was supposed to be the best quarterback in college football, but for some reason that never really happened. Lock was still an excellent QB, but he wasn't proving himself to be the best. Lock has immense upside, and personally I think he's pretty similar to Baker Mayfield. If I'm John Elway right now, I'm scouting Lock as much as possible, because he could be the future of the Broncos.

Dwayne Haskins

Dwayne Haskins may be the most physically gifted quarterback in this draft. He's tall, strong, and has a big arm. Haskins, despite being a one year starter has proven he has the ability to win big games, throw the ball well, and get his team to score. Haskins this season broke many Big 10 records this year and showed that he can lead a team. A team like the Jaguars or Giants could really benefit from Haskins being QB.

Kyler Murray

Rumor has it that the Cardinals are going to pick Kyler Murray with the first overall pick. That would be the dumbest thing ever if true. While Murray is an excellent QB, why give up on Josh Rosen only after one season. Anyways this is about Murray. Murray is not the tallest, or strongest QB, but he's the best QB. He plays with passion for the sport and proved that he can lead teams to the playoffs and take on the best teams in the nation. Murray has a killer scrambling ability too which helps him keep plays alive. Murray can be the next big thing if put in the right situation. I believe the Giants should pick him with the 6th overall pick.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
