Too many people say Ohio is a boring state, but to me, you can find something new and exciting to do anywhere. Yes, there is always Cedar Point, but if you're looking to do something unique, check out these five Ohio landmarks to spice up your adventure game. (Even if it is only Ohio.)

1. Hocking Hills: Logan, OH

Hocking Hills is quite literally the camper's dream. This outdoor playground offers waterfalls, hiking trails and caves to explore. There are even wood cabins available to rent that are decently priced. If you're an outdoorsy person, this place is a must-see!

2. Franklin Park Conservatory: Columbus, OH

Featuring both outdoor and indoor gardens, the Franklin Park Conservatory is located right outside of Columbus, Ohio. General admission is fairly cheap ($10 with a student ID!), and you can experience plants local and foreign to our area. On top of the gardens, they also offer classes to adults such as gardening, tai chi, yoga and glass-blowing.

3. Waterloo District: Cleveland, OH

If you're into art, this is the town for you. Although it's a portion of the large city of Cleveland, the Waterloo District offers a "small town" feel with it's artsy local shops and it's amazingly intricate building artwork. They are constantly adding new, creative twists so you can keep coming back, and on top of that, they hold an art festival every summer! Don't miss out on the experiences this place offers.

4. Yellow Springs, OH

Best described as a hippy, free-spirited town, this is also an Ohio landmark that is sure to please anyone who loves art. With it's colorful storefronts and eclectic artwork, anyone who appreciates individuality will love what Yellow Springs has to offer. They also have a beautiful state park, including springs that are just a few miles away! Alongside Waterloo, Yellow Springs offers an art festival every summer.

5. Cuyahoga Valley National Park: Cleveland, OH

Cuyahoga National Park is a short distance from the Cleveland and Akron areas and offers biking trails, hiking trails and campgrounds. You can learn about Ohio's rich history at the Boston Store Visitor Center, and if you're into it, they even have a bed and breakfast on site. It's amazing the sights you can see right here in Ohio—it just takes a little bit of exploring!

Ohio is rich in adventure; it just takes some patience and research to find something worth seeing. Even though there are many places that are popular and well-known, there is always something new to be seen waiting around the corner. Who knows, maybe it's even in your backyard! Now get out there and explore.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
