Washington, D.C. is a truly wonderful place. From the embassies of Mass Ave. to the culturally rich Smithsonian to the premier location of Georgetown, D.C. is for everyone. As I grew up right outside the District, I have spent a lot of time in D.C.. And as an avid photographer, I have spent even more time photographing it.

In my family, I am considered the tour guide. I am the person who takes family and friends visiting us into the city for a day full of monuments, museums, and the best tacos ever. These are a few of the photo spots I always frequent on this voyage to document D.C. on film.

1. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is a new aspect of the D.C. memorial scene, and has quickly become my favorite. It sits in the bank of the Tidal Basin and is absolutely breathtaking at sunset. You can see the Jefferson Memorial on the other side and few people on the paddle boats. The serenity is blissful as you stand next to Martin Luther King Jr. as he looks out upon us.

The monument is surrounded by quotes. The construction is absolutely phenomenal. I recommend it to everyone.

2. Jefferson Memorial

Right across from the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial is an oldie, and a goodie. In the spring with the cherry blossoms, it is even more breathtaking.

You can also take really cute (and insta worthy) photos of the Washington Monument from the steps of the Jefferson Memorial.

3. Georgetown Waterfront

Georgetown is the cutest place ever. From amazing architecture to fabulous food, it covers all the bases. If you go down to the waterfront, you can see the Kennedy Center across the Potomac and you get a slight, but delightful, breeze. In the summer, this is the place to be as all the boats come and moor to the dock and there are kids running around and all the restaurants are great. In the winter, there is an ice skating rink that is so much fun.

The photos here can be scenic or more fun as you engage with your surroundings.

4. Kennedy Center Balcony

The Kennedy Center is the most photogenic place in DC, inside and out. From the

Opera Hall to the balcony, I could spend hours there. And I have. But if I had to chose, my favorite place there is the expansive balcony. It is gorgeous and is beautiful at night and during the day. You can see the Georgetown Waterfront and get a really nice view of the Potomac. Anyone who sees that picture will know you were at the Kennedy Center.

5. Newseum Balcony

This one is one of my favorite places in D.C.. I come here so often, I splurged for the yearly membership. The view is incredible and the content of the museum is inspired. Sadly you have to pay for admittance, but its so worth it.

Here you can see the Capitol perfectly and most of the Smithsonian and it makes for absolutely stunning pictures.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
