When it comes to Netflix, the saddest moments can be when you reach the end of a show's series. But Netflix is a wonderful place filled with never ending episodes of shows that can be perfect on cold Saturday's when you don't want to leave your room. Or just great ways to avoid folding the laundry that just came out of the dryer. That being said here are my top 5 picks for the next show or movie you should watch on Netflix!

1. How I Met Your Mother

This is a show that I am currently working on re-watching for now the third time, if you need something that will make you smile and brighten your mood. Watch How I met Your Mother as it follows Ted as he tells his kids the long story of how he met their mother.

2. The Fosters

This show is one of the shows off of FreeForm (ABC Family) that is absolutely amazing as it tells the story of a family. One of the things that makes the show so wonderful is how it breaks the barriers of what a 'traditional' family looks like. It also questions what it means to be family as well as the Fosters family is made up of Stef and Lena the two moms, Stef's biological son, Mariana and Jesus their adopted twins and Callie and Jude who they are foster parents for. Warning this show is a bit of a tear jerker.

3. Between

This is a Netflix original series that currently only has two seasons currently. But this show is very similar to the show 'Under the Dome' as it follows the residents of a town called Pretty Lake as everyone above the age of 22 begins dying suddenly. It follows the residents left behind as they fend for themselves and try to figure out who is supposed to lead the town.

4. Once Upon A Time

This show is absolutely amazing, but is one that I highly suggest that you start at the beginning with if you are going to watch as it builds each season on top of the last. This show follows the characters from all of the old fairy tales and new ones with a modern twist as they are in the real world. But it is not only fairy tale characters that are a part of the plot line anymore as of recent characters from books such as a Dr. Hyde has been added. Also, the characters from the Wizard of Oz make an appearance as well.

5. New Girl

This show is one that airs on a regular basis on FOX but is a show that I had never really gotten to watch continuously until I found it on Netflix. The show follows Jess as she lives in a new apartment with three guys. This is also a great show if you are mainly looking for something to brighten your mood and or need to watch something on those cold Saturday mornings when you don't want to get up.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
