Some argue it's too early for all this Christmas talk. But let's be honest, it is never too early for Christmas. Christmas is filled with twinkling lights, sparkly ornaments, comfort food, delicious smelling candles, warm clothing, snow, Christmas music, and best of all Christmas movies. I don't know if anyone else can relate, but I wait all year for the 25 days of Christmas on Freeform. I wait for my favorite Christmas movies to play. I wait for when it will be socially acceptable to watch these movies on repeat. As a passionate Christmas lover, here are my movie recommendations.
5.) A Year Without a Santa Claus:
Santa decides to take a year off of Christmas, due to illness and the lack of Christmas spirit. Luckily, an unlikely group saves the day and Christmas is not canceled! This movie is light-hearted and is one of my favorites to watch. I am biased to the claymations, though. They always have the most interesting characters. Characters to look out for in this movie are Jingle, Jangle, Heat Miser, and Snow Miser. Check it out if you haven't watch it yet.
4.) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:
A reindeer is born with a unique quality. He has a shiny red nose! It shines and makes noise. Rudolph is bullied by a lot of his fellow reindeer but ends up saving Christmas. In this movie, a lot of fun characters are met and it is interesting to see the development of Rudolph as he accepts his unique characteristics. Characters to keep an eye out for are Hermey, Yukon Cornelius, the toys on Misfit Island, and of course Rudolph.
3.) Santa Claus is Coming to Town:
A baby is born and abandoned in the woods. Woodland creatures bring the baby to a little workshop. Kris Kringle is the name of the baby. We watch Kris grow as a character and we watch him transition into Santa. This story is all about giving and wanting to make other happy. It is a light-hearted film that will warm your heart. While you are watching, keep your eye out for Kris Kringle, The Winter Warlock, and Burgermeister Meisterburger.
2.) Elf:
A human grows up thinking he is an elf. When he find out about his human nature, he goes on an adventure to find his father. Where is his father? His father is in the Big Apple. Buddy the Elf comes across many obstacles. These obstacles only make buddy stronger and in the end, he ends up saving Christmas. This movie is really funny. I have seen it so many times and I die from laughter every single time. My favorite character in this movie is Buddy...but whose isn't? Check it out, I promise you will not regret it.
1.) A Christmas Story:
Ralphie wants a BB gun for Christmas, soon he finds out that that may not be the best gift choice. Ralphie goes through the Christmas season with his family and some pretty hilarious things happen. It is one of those movies that you have to see. This movie will have you laughing and feeling second-hand embarrassment. It is the perfect humor-filled Christmas movie to put anyone in the Christmas spirit! Check it out as it does on loop all 24 hours of Christmas Day.
