Just what the world needed, right? Another opinionated and biased list of the top music artists in the world. While you may not agree with every musician on this list, i ask that you show respect for each and every character on it; They've definitely earned it.
1. Ludwig Van Beethoven
Beethoven is considered to be the greatest composer of his time by many. As a musician, he wrote outside what was considered normal back in his day. His irregular compositions broke the boundaries of the Classical Era and brought on the Romantic Era. Although he was deaf, his handicap certainly did not stop him from writing wonderful pieces of work.
2. Michael Jackson
Mr. Jackson was often made fun of for his skin, the way he spoke, his clothes, and so much more. He was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor who won 13 Grammy's total. He suffered from a skin disease called vitiligo, which causes people to lose pigmentation in their skin. Today he is given the title 'King of Pop' and is well known all over the world. Some of his most memorable songs are "Billie Jean", "Thriller" and "Beat It."
3. Elvis Presley
Elvis, known as the "King of Rock 'n Roll," became the best-selling solo artist in the history of popular music. He was inspired by black gospel music and Memphis' bustling Beale Street blues scene. He was teased a lot as a child and so he became a loner and learned to play the guitar. He became a leading figure in the Rock genre.
4. Johannes Sebastian Bach
In the 18th century, Bach became a master composer of Baroque music. His choir and orchestra were very well-organized. In his lifetime he wrote 200 suites, concertos, and cantatas. His pieces are still considered to be some of the most beautifully arranged pieces of all time.
5. Madonna
When Madonna was asked what her dreams were in 1983, her response was, "To rule the world." And she did just that by becoming the world's top-selling female recording artist ever. She's usually criticized for following fads in her personal life, but when it comes to her music the culture usually mirrors her.
