If you're the type of person that could spend hours in Target or Sephora looking at make-up, same. I love make-up, not necessarily because of the way it changes how I look, but more so because it's almost therapeutic to have some "me time" when I'm putting it on. Summer is my favorite beauty season because everyone is all about that glow and pretty shimmer. The products I have listed below are my favorite, go-to summer beauty items.

1. L'Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation

This is my favorite foundation for summer for many reasons. First off, it is so fun to apply. When you open it up there is a little sponge drenched in the foundation that you can either dip your handy beauty blender into for a softer look or go for more full coverage with a make-up brush. Either way it looks gorgeous on your skin, giving you a nice subtle glow. This product is a true 10/10 in my books.

2. Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Highlighter in "Fireball"

At first glance, you may think that this product is a blush, but you'd be wrong. This is a beautiful highlighter for those ladies out there with a more pink complexion, like myself. Normally I stay away from any face product that looks a little pink because I have all the pink I need on my cheeks but this product is amazing and leaves the perfect amount of shimmer on the cheekbones.

3. L'Oréal Infallible Eyeshadow in "Amber Rush"

What can I say, I love L'Oréal products! This is the most stunning eyeshadow ever in my opinion. It's the perfect rose gold color to match your iPhone 6s and look like a glowing goddess during the summer. The formula is super creamy and blends easily yet stays on my lids all day.

4. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss in "Rose and Shine"

Step aside Kylie, this lip gloss has yours beat. First off they smell like chocolate cake and who doesn't want that on their lips? Secondly this color is the perfect pinky-nude to pair with all the products listed above. Third, it gives your lips a subtle plumping without looking like you just got stung on your mouth by a bee. Plus, the name is clever.

5. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

This literally goes on like butter. It is the perfect summer bronzer because it has a tiny bit of shimmer to give you a sun-kissed glow, even if you never leave the house. It's also the perfect shade.

So there you have it. If you are looking to spruce up your make-up look for what's left of summer than I highly recommend these products. Most are pretty affordable and can be found at any drugstore, except for the Urban Decay highlighter, which you may have to take a dangerous trip to Sephora and try to come out with some money left in your bank account. So go get yourself looking like the glowing fairy, summer goddess you were born to be!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
