Okay, so being a freshman, I know I've only been on campus for a few months, but these are some really cool locations that I really don't think get the credit they deserve!

Courtyard Cafe

This hidden little coffee shop is located inside of Lagomarcino Hall! Their coffee is to die for, and not to mention it's super beautiful. Their big, comfortable chairs, and cozy atmosphere also makes this the perfect spot to study on a cold day! They serve soup, smoothies and have a wide variety of food options to choose from. Also, the chai tea latte is a favorite of mine. Would definitely recommend.

Stomping Grounds

Stomping Grounds is so good! I just found out it existed a few weeks ago when a friend mentioned she was going there with her parents! Their menu contains things such as soups, salads, sandwhiches, and much more! All of their warm beverages are also wonderful! Stomping Grounds is located on Welch Ave, and would be the perfect place to check out for lunch!

Portobello Road

I could seriously go on and on about how awesome this place is! You can find this boutique on Welch! I found out about Portobello when their instagram account followed me a number of months ago! You should check it out by the way (@portobelloroadames). Everything there is affordable, and incredibly unique! Not to mention the girl who owns the place is one of the coolest humans ever! If you're ever in the mood to go shopping, I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Fajita Man

Okay, I know this technically isn't a location, but I feel like Fajita Man is so under appreciated! Super Dog is super good, don't get me wrong, but Fajita Man deserves some serious appreciation too. You can usually find him on Welch on weekend nights, usually set up right next to Super Dog!

Lagomarcino's Courtyard

This courtyard just adds to Iowa State's notoriously beautiful campus. This is the perfect place to relax at on beautiful day to study, chat with friends, or just relax!
