As a dancer there are some untold rules that we should follow. Some times we forget these rules and as students we get labeled as"lazy" or "not committed". I think these rules are the most important ones that need to be focused on a little bit more.
1. Do not talkback to a teacher
Even if you hate everything you're doing just smile and do it because in the end what the teacher says goes.
2. Do not sit down during class
Unless you are hurt or have been told to sit this gives off the impression that you don't care about what is happening.
3. Do not ask how much longer the class is.
This makes a teacher think you'd rather be doing 400 other things than be in this class.
4. Be polite when asking questions.
Yes you're confused, yes we can go over it, please don't talk to me like I'm 4 and don't know how to do my job.
5. Always thank a teacher after class.
No matter how class went always say thank you. Not only is it polite but it shows that you appreciate what we do for all the students and you understand we give up our time to come help you learn.
