5. Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6 is definitely a different type of Disney movie. Unlike the usual princess movies, Baymax brings a hilarious spin to Disney. Baymax is a very lovable character and becomes the unlikely hero of this movie. This movie also deals with the fact that Hiro not only lost his parents but lost his brother. Unlike other Disney movies, the loss of his brother is something that people can relate to. This movie also shows that it's cool to like science and not as nerdy as some would think. The soundtrack is also amazing!

4. The Little Mermaid

I hadn't seen The Little Mermaid until a few years ago. When I finally saw it, I fell in love with it. I loved how she had to communicate with Prince Eric without using her voice. One of my favorite scenes is when she uses the fork as a comb. To me, this movie was about making decisions in your life that make you happy. And that's exactly what Ariel did when she chose to stay with Eric instead of returning back to the ocean. I also love how Eric fell in love with Ariel's voice instead of her looks.

3. Zootopia

I was so excited when this movie came out! The previews looked amazing and I had very high expectations for this movie. It ended up being just as awesome as I thought it would be. The ending was a complete shock for me! There wasn't even a hint about who could be hurting the predators! Disney was able to make this movie very enjoyable for people of all ages. I love all of the humor in this movie and I never get sick of watching this one!

2. Tangled

I have loved Tangled ever since it came out and I never get sick of watching it. Not only is Rapunzel just the right amount of goofy, but her and Flynn have amazing chemistry. Maximus and Pascal are both extremely adorable and make the best sidekicks. The music in Tangled is also amazing and very catchy. Rapunzel and Flynn slowly became the cutest Disney couple ever created. From the beginning, you could tell that they were meant for each other.

1. Moana

Moana is Disney's latest movie and it has easily become my favorite. The movie had me laughing all the way through with its witty humor. I love the fact that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays Maui and he is able to bring that character alive. I also love that they made the ocean become a character of its own. Moana's character is strong and independent and is definitely a great role model for younger children. And you can't forget about the adorable sidekicks, Hay Hay and Pua. Overall, I was very impressed with how Disney told Moana's story. And I love the whole soundtrack!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
