Sifting through the hundreds of delicious food truck options in Austin for the top sweets can be tough. To help you out, here are a few of the best.
1. Gordough's
It's an institution. When you visit Austin, this is one food truck you must visit. Open until midnight, and 1 a.m. on Saturdays, it's sure to satisfy your craving for something sweet. But that's not all. Gordough's has donuts topped with bacon, and even fried chicken. My personal recommendation is the Dirty Berry, which has fudge icing with grilled strawberries.

2. Cow Tipping Creamery
When you're craving ice cream but don't want to wait in line at Amy's, this food truck is the place for you. It's been featured on the Food Network for it's amazing High Tea sundae, served with lemon curd, honey dust and crushed tea biscuits. My personal recommendation is the Gimme S'more, which has toasted marshmallows, chocolate chips and a molasses graham crumble.

3. Bananarchy
Bananarchy serves up delicious frozen bananas dipped in sauces and covered in crushed up candies. One of its specialties is called "The Afternoon Delight." It has three dips swirled together and topped with nuts and graham crackers. It is also a personal favorite.

4. Little Lucy's Mini Donuts
To keep it simple, they serve mini-donuts. That's big bags and little bags, and boy are they good. Open until 2:30 a.m. on weekends, this is the place to be when all you want is a donut but can't wait until the shops open at 7 a.m. I would recommend the big bag to share with a friend.74 Rainey St.
5. Hey Cupcake!
It's the original air-stream food trailer. The only things cuter than the truck are the cupcakes themselves. And they're also delicious. Hey Cupcake! is most famous for its red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting. With seven locations and counting, it is taking over the Austin cupcake scene.
