The Big 12 opener for both teams ended up being a lot more eventful than anticipated. With #3 TCU being the clear favorite to win, it was shocking as we watched them struggle against the unranked Texas Tech team. After an extremely back and forth game, it came down to the last 30 seconds. The Red Raiders led TCU 52-48. TCU’s Trevone Boykin threw his last pass into the endzone, where Doctson tipped the ball and was taken down. 3. Georgia Tech’s blocked field goal return over
As the game came to an end, Georgia Tech and FSU were tied up at 16-16. For the final play, FSU could kick a field goal, pushing them ahead and preserving their undefeated record of 6-0. Unfortunately for them, Georgia Tech blocked their field goal attempt… but that’s not all. The Yellow Jacket’s Lance Austin got the ball and ran it back for an incredible 78-yard touchdown to win the game. Georgia Tech successfully handed the Seminoles not only their first loss of the season, but their first loss against an ACC opponent in the last 29 games.
