Top 5 Cocktails for the 2015 Bubbly Bar

Now that Christmas is officially behind us, we still have the New Year to look forward to! What better way to celebrate than try new cocktails to share with friends? Here are 5 trending recipes for the perfect bubbly bar this New Year. Let’s start 2015 off right by toasting to resolutions we will not keep with friends we will never forget. Cheers!  

 1. Champagne Jell-O Shots.     

Ingredients: 

· 10 oz plus 5oz of champagne 

· 1 tablespoon of sugar 

· 3 envelopes of Knox plain gelatin

· Festive, sparkly sugar to decorate the top   

Directions:

· Place 10 oz of the champagne and sugar in a sauce pan and then sprinkle gelatin on top

· Let gelatin soften for about 2 minutes

· Place saucepan over low heat and stir until gelatin has completely dissolved, about 2-3 minutes

· Remove from heat and add in remaining 5 oz of champagne and stir to combine 

· Pour mixture into a deep, rectangular shaped loaf pan and chill for an hour

· To release Jell-O, dip the pan into warm water and use a knife along the sides to gently release the Jell-O

· Using a sharp knife cut the Jell-O into squares

· Be sure to dip the top of the Jello-O shots in festive sugar for a New Years sparkle!  

2. The Dazzler.   

Ingredients: 

· 2 oz of Hpnotiq Harmonie

· 2 oz of Champagne

· Silver or gold sprinkles    

Directions:

· Dip the rim of the champagne flute in champagne and then the sugar 

· Pour the chilled harmonie and champagne into the glass and serve!    

3. The Bubbly Bourbon. 

Ingredients:

· 1.5 oz of preferred whiskey

· 2-3 oz of champagne 

· 2-3 dashes of Fee Brothers Cranberry bitters

· 1 sugar cube for each glass made  

Directions:

· Place the sugar cube in the bottom of a champagne flute and splash it with the bitters 

· First add the whiskey and then the champagne and serve immediately while the sugar cube is dissolving!  

4. Sparkling Margaritas 

 Ingredients:

· 4 teaspoons of fresh lime juice

· 2 oz of preferred tequila

· 2 oz of pineapple juice

· 2 oz of triple sec

· 1 bottle of champagne

· Lime wedges for garnish 

· Salt for rimming the glasses  

Directions:

· Rim the champagne flutes with salt by dipping them in lime juice and then the salt

· Mix together the margarita base and pour 11/2 oz of the margarita base into each glass

· Top the base with champagne of choice

· Garnish with a fresh lime and enjoy!    

5. Apple Cider Mimosas.     

Ingredients:

·      Apple Cider

·      Champagne

·      Gold and silver sprinkles

·      Fresh Apply slices for garnishing  

Directions: 

·      Dip the top of each champagne glass in a little bit of champagne and then into the gold and silver sprinkles 

·      Pour each champagne glass 3/4 full with apple cider

·      Top the rest with champagne and stir!
