Riding roller coasters is one of the most exhilarating feelings in the world. It gives you that butterfly feeling in your stomach if you go over a big drop, they make you laugh when you get your picture taken mid swerve and all you see is your hair in the picture, or they just give you an adrenaline rush and they make you ready for the rest of the day. These 5 rides will do just that if you take a trip to Six Flags.

1. Batman

If you like going upside down, sharp turns and saving Gotham City, Batman is the ride for you. It shocks you during the ride, but once you finish it, you will tell yourself that it is the best ride in the entire park. It feels like one of the longest rides and it is for sure one of the rides with the most twists and turns. It surprises you while your riding it, and in a good way I should add.

2. X-Flight

X-Flight is a fun starter. It takes a lot of twists and turns, but no real big drops. It spins you around and makes you have a good time which is really nice. X-Flight is the type of ride that even if you just ate, you would be okay to go on it. It is for sure a favorite when it comes to Six Flags roller coasters, but not as hefty as the Joker per say.

3. Superman

Superman is a great roller coaster if you like flying. It is a great feeling to lay down on a roller coaster and just soar through the air. It is quite soothing, in a very weird way. It isn't the best option though if you do not trust the pull down lap bars. Right when you get on the ride, it propels you backwards so you feel like you are flying like Superman. The only scary part is that all your body weight is depending on that lap bar, so if that scares you, then I do not suggest this ride. Besides that little part, it is a fun ride and it really does feel like you are flying!

4. The Joker

The Joker is a great roller coaster to ride if you want an adrenaline rush. It turns you all different ways while going down the track. While going upside down, your individual cart spins you up, down and all around. If you have a weak stomach, it is not a ride for you to go on, but if not, once you ride it, you will not regret it.

5. Raging Bull

This roller coaster is one of those coaster's that tease you. The first part of the ride is a big drop down so if you like that feeling in your stomach where you get butterflies, this is the ride for you. This ride teases you because right before the first drop, there is a little drop probably only 5 feet down and then it brings you back up 3 or so feet and then it hits the big drop. It shocks you because you were expecting to go down right away, but then it's a few seconds later that you actually fly down on this ride. It is a fantastic shock though, especially for adrenaline junkies.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
