Top 4 Reasons to Have Guy Friends

It's not a cliche, it's the honest truth.

1. Guys don't hold back

At time guys are not as "nice" as girls when it comes to telling you the truth. Yes it's nice to have girlfriends not be straightforward and kill your self-confident, but at times it is needed and that's where guys come in. They tell you the truth no matter how mean it may come out.

2. Protective

When you are surrounded by guy friends all the time, they begin to see you as a little sister, which means they become older brothers, which means... they ask a lot of questions of other guys interested in you and want to go wherever you go.

3. Less Dramatic

It may sound like a cliche, but it's true. Naturally guys are less dramatic than girls, which makes girls want to have more guy friends than girl friends; just to avoid that drama.

4. You don't have to change your likes or interests to fit in

When it comes to having girlfriends sometimes you may find yourself not having anything in common, which means you have to alter your likes or interests to fit in with girls. Other times, you have to make drastic changes of who you are as a person and modify them to the person your girl friends want you to be.

Don't get my wrong. I love having girlfriends they're having to gossip with, get mani-pedis and shop with. But it's also nice just being around your guy friends from time to time.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
