Who doesn't love a good horror movie? There's no better feeling than the adrenaline you get every time there is a jump scare or the feeling of watching it with a bunch of your best friends, so you can grasp each other's hands until they turn red. There is no doubt that horror movies have evolved throughout the years, from black and white psychological thrillers to slasher movies and more. The classics are definitely going to be long-lasting favorites for many, but the movies in the current century have done an excellent job in scaring the life out of all of us. Here are the top six horror movies of the current century.

1. 'The Ring' (2002)

This creepy movie has people spooked with the fact that they might die after seven days. I'm pretty sure I was one of those people when I first watched this movie. I also pranked several people with the *67 trick, making them think the movie had actually come to life. But in reality, this is an amazingly scary movie that sends shivers down your spines. Can't say the same about the sequels, though...

2. 'Saw' (2004)

This slasher film series has seven different films. "Wanna play a game" is probably one of the most iconic lines from a horror film. This movie is really creepy and is a psychological thriller that you definitely want to make time to watch.

3. 'Sinister' (2012)

This movie is one of the many horror films that involves the children of the family being possessed to kill their other family members. This modern take on the Bogey man is definitely a favorite and haunting many people, including myself, to this day.

4. 'Don't Breathe' (2016)

This is one of the newer films; I would consider it more of a thriller than a horror movie. Of course, it is terrifying and has many jump scares, but it really makes me feel like I need to be scared of blind men with guns and creepy abandoned neighborhoods. This is definitely a must-see for thrill seekers.

If you're bored or having a girls' night, maybe these movies are a great way to get the night started. These movies will have you scared for your life but you'll also be having the greatest time of your life. Trust me...

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
