Everybody needs an idea of what to do and places to go in Milwaukee. Well here are some of the best events and places to go during the summer.

1. Summerfest (June 28- July 2 + July 4- July 9)

Admissions Promotional:

Hours:

12:00pm to 12:00am Sunday – Saturday

The first event that should be on everyone’s calendar is Summerfest. Summerfest is the largest music festival in the entire country that goes for almost two weeks. This year marks the 50th Anniversary so they’re going all out with their music line ups this year. Some notable superstars who are going to be performing are The Chainsmokers, Luke Bryan, Future, Big Sean and Migos. Summerfest has a little bit of everything when it comes to music so you’re bound to have a good time. Tickets are a bit on the expensive side this year at $20 for General Admissions tickets, but Weekday admission tickets are a bit more generous at $13. The only difference is Weekday tickets only work from noon - 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday for Summerfest. They also have various events for free admission during the festival. You can see those events from the link above. My personal take is that if there is ever a year to go to Summerfest, this is the year.

2. State Fair (August 3-13)

$6 Ticket Sale:

Hours:

8 am – 11 pm Sunday – Thursday
8 am – 12 am Friday & Saturday
8 am – 10 pm Final Sunday

The second event that should be on everyone’s calendar is Wisconsin State Fair. The State fair is the place to go if you want to eat a variety of foods. The food item that’s most well-known are Cream Puffs. I’m personally not a fan, but to some it’s the best food in the food. The admission is very affordable at $12, plus State Fair has a sale going on for the tickets. Tickets are currently $6 until June 30th. So if you plan on going, now is the time to cop tickets.

3. Bradford Beach

The number one spot to go to for outdoor fun in Milwaukee would have to be Bradford Beach. You can grill out, play volleyball, walk on the shore line and just have fun in the sun. Without a doubt if you want to experience the outdoors, Bradford Beach is the spot.

If you want to have an enjoyable summer, these events will be the starting point. Hope y’all enjoy.

The Perks of Being a Girl

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

Us girls have a significant way to flirt with other people. Even when we say the most random or awkward things, we have a way of making everything sound cute and planned. It’s just a gift; we’re good like that.

Us college students know all about the struggle of spending the day in the library. Whether you are writing a ten-page paper, studying for a biology exam, or struggling through math homework, you somehow find the strength to get to the library to get it all done. Let's just say you have a lot of different thoughts that run through your head during the many hours you spend in the lovely library.

female tv characters
We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.

Blair Waldorf
Cub Magazine

We all have a little bit of Blair Waldorf inside of us. You may not realize it, but you're probably guilty of at least nine out of ten of these listed points. So why don't we reminisce on the famous Blair Waldorf moments where we realized we were actually her at certain times through the series?
