Everyone loves a good love story with a little drama. Amirite? Well, one of my favorite actresses is Julia Stiles. She has so many great movies and naming them would take a millennium, but here are 3 of the best Julia Stiles movies.

1. Save the Last Dance (PG-13)

So if you've never seen this movie, I suggest you stop whatever you're doing and go to Netflix and watch it! You won't regret it. "Save the Last Dance'' in a nutshell is about a girl - Sara (played by Stiles) - who loves dancing but is no longer doing it because she thinks it's the reason behind her mother's death. After her mom dies she moves in with her dad and begins a new school and, of course, meets a boy. I know cliché right? Well, that doesn't matter. The boy she meets-Derek- just happens to love dance just as much as she does, but there's just one 'catch'... he's African American. In this movie, they are having to face judgment and hardships that deal with being an interracial couple, but they face other difficulties as well because of Derek's past. Watch a clip of one of my favorite scenes below where Derek and Sara are having their first dance lesson and their relationship blossoms.

2. 10 Things I Hate About You (PG-13)

Once again we meet Stiles as a not so friendly girl named Kat. Kat has a sister who literally can't do anything unless Kat does. Basically, the ever-so-handsome Patrick Verona - played by the man himself, Heath Ledger - swoops in (under commission) and is her love connection in this film. In the end, all is well for Kat and Pat and they, in the end, don't kill each other. This film is a must see! If you love a good classic film with romance and a little drama, this is the movie for you. Watch Kat read a poem about how much Patrick affected her in the clip below (brb, crying).

3. "O" (rated R)

This film is a little more violent than the others listed. It's a modern day version of "Othello" turned into a basketball court, high school brawl. Stiles plays a girl named Desi who falls in love with an African American guy, Odin. Desi and Odin are always together and happy until Odin's "best friend" intervenes. His friend, Hugo, has this major crush on Desi and is very jealous of Odin. Hugo tells Odin that Desi is cheating on him and long story short, Odin believes him and things go very, very wrong. You'll just have to watch to find out all the juicy details. Check out the official trailer below.

I hope you enjoyed this little preview into three Julia Stiles films. Now go watch them!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
