We’ve all been in the mood where we don’t know what to eat. You feel like you want one thing, but on second thought you aren’t excited by it. I know me and my friends have this conversation all time when we’re trying to figure out what to get on the east side. This is especially true with exam season right around the corner. So, after a quick brainstorm, we decided to come up with a quick list of the restaurants in the UWM area that most folks would enjoy for a quick eat. Especially when they’re short on time.

1.Oakland Gyros

Address:2867 N Oakland Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211

If you go to UWM or live on the eastside, you'll be hard-pressed not to have heard about Oakland Gyros. Driving or walking past you can see people streaming in and out of it at all hours of the day and night. It’s one of the most popular restaurants on in the UWM community. Whether it be their signature gyro meal or their delicious chicken shish kabob platter. They offer a delicious meal for everyone no matter your taste.

2.Koppa’s Fulbeli Deli

Address: 1940 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202

A restaurant that’s tucked away but has delicious food is found on farewell avenue. That would be the Koppa’s Fulbeli Deli. Koppa’s is known for making great signature homemade sandwiches. No matter what you have a taste for in a sandwich form they probably have something close to it. They also have different custom names for each of their sandwiches putting a fun twist to ordering. My personal favorite being the “Baron Rodgers”. It’s also very cost friendly so I’d recommend it if you’re in the UWM area.

3.William Ho’s

Address:3524 N Oakland Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211

If you’re tired of going out of your way for Chinese food, here is the spot for you. One of the few authentic restaurants on the eastside, William Ho’s offers a real taste of Chinese cuisine.Whether you’re looking for signature dishes like Shrimp Fried Rice or looking at their all you can eat lunch buffet special. William Ho’s is the place to go if you’re on the UWM side of town and craving Chinese food. You won’t regret it.

Hope you enjoy these restaurants and enjoy trying something different if you’ve never been. One of them might just become your new favorite spot to go. Happy studies.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
