You will find my top 15 favorite chick-flicks below. Please note: I am only a fan of cliche, happy endings.
1. "Grease" (1978)
This film is simply a classic! From their fabulous outfits to the bomb songs, it is the definition of goals! Every girl dreams about having a summer fling like Sandy, but not everyone finds their Danny.
2. "Sixteen Candles" (1984)
This is a little inappropriate for young viewers, but everyone can relate to the emotional outbursts of high school-aged Molly Ringwald.
3. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" (1985)
This movie revolves around a sweet, innocent dancer, who's only dream is to be on television. Luckily, she's paired with Mr. Right who helps her come out of shell and make her dreams come true!
4. "Dirty Dancing" (1987)
First, Patrick Swayze is the ultimate bae. Then you throw in Baby, who's only ever lived in her sister's shadow and finally has the chance to show everyone what she's made of. This movie is great for a night full of genuine happiness and endless smiles.
5. "Pretty Woman" (1990)
Although this movie comes off as a bit scandalous, it shows that it doesn't matter where you come from, or even where you are in life -- it's still possible to find love.
6. "Clueless" (1995)
This film is perfect for a night full of high school girls who need a reminder as to where their priorities need to be: getting your license, finding your true self, and always being there for your friends.
7. "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002)
"Sweet Home Alabama" teaches many life lessons: home is where your heart is, your past helped mold you into the person you are today, and you marry someone so you can kiss them anytime you want.
8. "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" (2003)
This movie teaches girls what not to do when in a relationship. Although, if you do act upon these crazy decisions and he still loves you, marry that boy.
9. "A Cinderella Story" (2004)
Hillary Duff is always goals, and this Cinderella story taught us that even if you're not the most popular girl in high school, stay true to who you are and the right guy will cross your path.
10. "Mean Girls" (2004)
"Mean Girls" is only a semi-realistic view of high school. Still, if you're looking for a night of laughter and sassiness, this is your movie.
11. "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" (2005)
This is such a feel-good movie. Be ready for the whole squad to gather around, share chocolate, tissues, and popcorn, and remember once again how you all can make it so easily through this thing called "life" if you just have one another.
12. "Failure to Launch" (2006)
OK, it's Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker -- you already know this movie is girls night material. Prepare yourself to laugh until you cry, and come out a little more hopeful that you can find love, too.
13. "Beastly" (2011)
I feel as though "Beastly" is so underappreciated, Vanessa Hudgens is flawless first off, and the main guy is super hot! Unlike the typical romance movie, this one digs deep and reveals that it's not all about your outward appearance. This movie gives hope that it's what's on the inside that truly matters.
14. "The Other Woman" (2014)
This movie has literally the perfect cast: the bossy distance girl who doesn't know what it's like to have friends, the housewife who has lived inside a bubble for the last decade, and the pretty, yet dumb blonde who brings up the group average.
15. "The Longest Ride" (2015)
What's not to love about a sexy cowboy who rides bulls? If the movie couldn't get any better, there is a sweet old man reminiscing about the love of his life. So basically it's a romance movie inside of a romance movie, how great is that?
