It's no secret that I'm a hopeless romantic. A boy could pick up a leaf and give it to me and I'd think it's some act of love. Naturally, romance movies are my favorite thing. Girls know- the idea of watching a picture perfect romance (although setting the bar very high for the men in our lives) gives us some sort of restless hope that we will one day be swept off our feet in the same way. Here's a few of my personal favorite romances.
1. Allie and Noah.
Although eminent and maybe over played, Allie and Noah's romance in The Notebook is hands down one of the best romances of all time. The youthful and classic tale portrays the most fun, dedicated, and devastatingly sad romances.
2. Sam Montgomery and Austin Ames.
Every girl dreams of her own Cinderella Story where she's kissed in the rain by her own personal Austin Ames. When I was 10, Sam's blue flip phone seemed like the object of the century. And don't even get me started on the convertible that they casually ride off in together at the end.
3. Sarah Baker and Elliot Murtaugh.
Throwback as it is, and as irrelevant as this may seem to some, I have always and always will love this youthful summer romance from Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
4. Melanie and Jake.
"Why would you want to marry me, anyhow?" "So I can kiss you anytime I want." Enough said. Sweet Home Alabama gets me every time.
5. Hannah Montana and Travis.
Between the Hoedown Throwdown and this romance, the Hannah Montana movie is a true classic. And besides, who doesn't love a nice cowboy with beautiful hair and teeth?
6. Johnny and Baby
From the ultimate dance move that has been coined for centuries now to the music that goes along with it, Johnny and Baby are one couple you'll never forget. Not to mention Dirty Dancing is hands down one of the best of all time.
7. Jane and Kevin
Who doesn't dream of dancing and basically starting a flash mob with a cute boy/significant other? Also, I don't know about you, but I'm dying to wear all 27 of the dresses that Jane gets to wear in this movie.
8. Katniss and Peta
Although I was rooting for Gale basically the entire time, Peeta definitely grew on me. The star-crossed lovers definitely had a unique chemistry throughout all of the Hunger Games movies. Also, when they finally get married and have a baby, my heart melts a little.
9. John and Savannah
Who doesn't love a man in uniform? No one, that's who. From the uniform to the fact that it's Channing Tatum, I never would have stopped writing him Dear John letters.
10. Vivian and Edward
Pretty woman... walking down the street.
11. Jamie and Landon
It seriously is A Walk to Remember. I just really love that she turns the bad boy into a sweet heart. And then all of a sudden your heart is broken into a billion pieces. It's fine... I'm fine... We're fine.
12. Jack and Rose
Ah, the classic intermingling of different societal statuses in the early 1900's. I don't care, this is still a top notch romance.
13. Tris and Four
Similar to the Hunger Games, but still a different romance. the action packed-ness of it all leaves you hanging on by a thread.
14. Andie and Ben
She may know how to lose a guy in 10 days, but Kate Hudson also gives me 10 million reasons to envy her. Number one being that she gets to kiss Matthew McConaughey numerous times in this movie.
15. Danny and Sandy
Best outfits, best decade, best couple.
