In just a few weeks, on June 12, theatre fanatics around the world will be sitting in front of their televisions watching the 70th annual Tony Awards. The Tony Awards are every theater kids favorite night, so as we countdown the days, I decided to tell you my top 12 favorite Tony performances ever (in no particular order).

1. "The Circle of Life" performed by the cast of The Lion King (1998)

The vocals, choreography, costumes - this number is absolutely unreal. Press play and watch the goosebumps appear and tears form because of this pure beauty.

2. "Hair" performed by the revival cast of HAIR (2009)

Two words: audience participation! For real though, this number is a total jam and so much fun, I dare you to tell me you didn't smile/feel totally invigorated with love and joy while watching this performance.

3. "I Believe" performed by Andrew Rannells from the Book of Mormon (2011)

Andrew (and every other Elder Price) gives it their all during this number and not only are they on top of their singing game but making the audience laugh constantly.

4. "96,000" performed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of In the Heights (2008)

Baby LMM makes my heart explode.

5. "Anything Goes" performed by Sutton Foster and the revival cast of Anything Goes (2011)

Sutton Foster: singer, actress, incredible tap dancer who can tap for forever and go back to sing like she barely even moved.

6. "I Hope I Get It" performed by the cast of A Chorus Line (1976)

This dancing!

7. "Seasons of Love/La Vie Boheme" performed by the cast of Rent (1996)

Does there even need to be any explanation for this one?

8. Mama Who Bore Me/Bitch of Living/Totally F***ed performed by the cast of Spring Awakening (2007)

*chants* Teen angst teen angst teen angst!! This show is near and dear to my heart so obviously it had to make the cut. And besides, who doesn't love little Lea Michele/Jonathan Groff and the censored silence for the F word in TF?

9. "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" performed by Jennifer Holliday and the cast of Dreamgirls (1982)

Once again, no need to explain. Just listen.

10. "Sugar Daddy" performed by Neil Patrick Harris from Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2014)

This is really just NPH's world and we are all living in it. This man can do anything - I become awestruck every single time I watch this.

11. "Friend Like Me" performed by the cast of Aladdin (2014)

James Monroe Iglehart serving you Genie realness in this number, absolutely incredible.

12. "Ring of Keys" performed by Sydney Lucas from Fun Home (2015)

Sydney Lucas demonstrating top notch vocals as well as mature, emotion ridden acting during this number -- at 11 years old.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
