Dogs are one of the most wonderful things on Earth.

That is common knowledge and I won't go too in depth about how it came to be. I will, however, dedicate this article to exploring the top 12 dog body parts as evidenced by various dog breeds and, most importantly, my own dog, Balkan.

Balkan is a rescue who was attacked viciously by his own pack and who I took the hospital. My friend and I were able to pay for the bills with the help of donations we collected from students at our high school. Balkan had to undergo two surgeries and was in recovery for a month. Here is in all his beauty:

Majestic.

Moving on to the list of top 12 dog body parts, in no particular order.

1. Ears

Floppy or pointy, all are soft and wonderful.

2. Fluffy Hind Legs

And butts.

3. Tummy

For the best of scratches and tickles. Make sure the dog whose tummy you want to scratch is OK with it first, though!

4. Eyes

Fascinating or irresistible, every dog's eyes are capable of the "puppy dog eyes" look.

5. Exquisite Paws

And they usually have four of them! Remarkable!

6. Cheeks

7. Posture

Though technically not a body part, posture is so important in dogs. Makes for some of the most majestic specimens out there.

8. Whiskers

Facial hair that is never to be trimmed! (Find out more about whiskers here!)

9. Fur

To keep them warm and give us a chance to bury our fingers in a heaven of softness and warmth.

10. Or no fur

To show off muscles.

11. Smile

12. Tail!

Probably my favorite part of any animal, especially if it's fluffy. How cool are tails? I often wish humans had long fluffy tails we could just swish around gracefully or maybe use to smack annoying people.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
