From the moment my parents bought me my first puppy, I was hooked and fell in love with this little ball of fluff. Now every time I see a dog or puppy of any kind this is how it goes:
or this
Here is a list of my top 11 breeds of dogs that really make me lose it.
1. Pug
I have one of these little pug butts and he is the greatest thing in the whole world to me. I love him more than life itself. Pugs are very good family dogs; they are lovable and loyal. Great dogs for families who live in small houses with a small yard. They even do great with other dogs. They are very playful puppies. Pugs are clowns at heart, but they carry themselves with dignity...(OK, sometimes.)
2.Cane Corso
Yeah, I have one of these too and I love my big old goof ball and his block head. Now these are big old dogs, my Thor is 165 lbs. Do not let their big size fool you though they are very good dogs who are great with families; they are very protective of their families as well. They are very smart dogs, though if you ever meet my goober ball you might not think so. They love to run and ride in the car. The ONLY downfall to my goofball is when they are drinking in their water bowl and come out they tend to drool...just a bit.
3. Bull Mastiff
If you haven't picked up on a theme here with the dogs I own, it's they all have little wrinkle faces. With that being said, yeah I own one of these babies too. Her name is Dandy and she is a bull mastiff. They can be big dogs as well not as big as the corso but my girl is about 125 ish, she had babies and then got fixed and she gained a little weight, but she is my tubby. Bullies are family dogs as well who tend to drool, they love to go for walks, though they do not need very much exercise but are very playful. Though they are a big dog, they do very well in small houses because of how mellow they are.
4. Bull Dog
More chubby butt dogs with squishy wrinkle faces. The Bull Dog is a puppy I would love to own one day. They do great in small houses with a little yard and they don't get much bigger then 40 to 50 pounds. They love to play with the little energy that they do get. They are another great family dog, wonderful with kids. Big old loves and loyal. They however don't do to well in the heat or cold, but they are cute as a button.
5. Corgi
They are like little potatoes with legs. Another small dog so good with families with not a lot of room. They are good family dogs and very smart high energy level very playful so good with kids. They bark at everything and anything. They have strong herding instinct so they may nip at heels but it's nothing harmful.
Back to little wiggle butts and wrinkles on the face. Small little guys 16- 28 pounds, with their little bat ears that are oh so cute. I would love own one of these little guys as well one day. They love to play lots of energy Great with kids and large families and though they love to play play play, they love to be lazy on the sofa as well.
7. Daschund
Little hot dogs with legs! 16-32 pounds of playfulness and energy. They like to bark and make noise. They are a little held back by strangers. Dachshunds are intelligent dogs with an independent nature and playful spirit. Because of this, they can be mischievous but do well once they warm up to you.
8. German Shorthaired Pointer
Cute as a button with floppy ears and long pointed tails and some of the most wonderful colors. A very friendly family dog that does great with kids. Very smart and easy to train. Also a very high energy level dog and very playful to go with all that energy. And who wouldn't love a face like that?
9. Siberian Husky
The eyes of this dog is what first made me fall in love with them. The first Husky I ever saw had these bright blue eyes that looked right into your soul and heart and just made you fall in love with him. Huskys are another great family dog who do well with kids and do well in a house that has a nice size yard. They are high energy dogs who love to play and run and needs lots of exercise.
10. Saint Bernard
Look at that little ball of fluff! Saint Bernard's are great dogs to have if you live in area that has lots of snow; they do very well in the cold weather. They do great with families who have kids who are older, and they are friendly to strangers who are in need. These dogs have been used to rescue people stuck in the snow on the mountains. They are very smart dogs. They are on the bigger side and they can be about 180 lbs.
11. Rottweilers
I love these dogs. It was the first breed that my mom brought home for my brother and me and it's the only breed of dog my brother knew for the first 13 years of his life before we got my pug. We loved both our rotties to the end. They are great with a family and protective of their family as well. They are smart with lots of energy.
Now there are lots of other dogs I would love to put on this list and own, heck if it was up to me I would have one of every dog breed out there. These guys though are my top because they would fit best in my life style. Even though I'm sure I would make any dog work in my life. So for now I'll just stick to petting every dog I see in public or anywhere really.
Just for giggles here are some pictures of my three goofballs!
This is Rocky he is my pug. He is up there in age and now blind, but I love him so much and I still think he is the cutest pug in the whole world.
This big dope is my corso Thor. He is 165 lbs of pure love. He loves to snuggle and hog the bed to himself. He has a big old block head and he will walk right up to you and use your lap as a pillow. Many people who met him are very taken back by his size at first but I promise you, this dog will do nothing but love you. He has made my family whole again.
This Queen Bee right here is Dandy, or Dandy doo to her family or Tubby to anyone really. She is the queen of the house. If you sit down on the sofa and there is room for her (even if there isn't) she is right there on top of you or next to you trying to make you pet her and love her. She is a sweetheart, a big old bug. Her and Thor had the most adorable puppies some of the cutest nuggets I've ever seen.
