We made it! Finals are done, papers are submitted, winter break is finally upon us. And it is well-needed, I might add. We think a 4 month semester is a long time, yet how did we ever survive a whole year of high school?

Here are the top things on my mind while I drive home to enjoy these next few weeks off...

10. Trips to NYC

What's a holiday season without a nice day in the city or picture in front of the tree to post on Instagram?

9. Home Cooked Meals

I don't know about you, but I am definitely sick of eating the same old dining hall food each day.

8. Back to the Gym

Damn, all that time sitting at my desk studying this semester has really made me out of shape.

7. Catching up on Netflix

To my favorite series; don't worry, well be together again soon.

6. Catching up on SLEEP!

Ugh, I missed my own bed so much.WHAT?! I can finally turn off all my alarms?

5. Sitting by the Fire with Hot Chocolate

Especially rewarding after a long day out in the cold or snow!

4. Traveling

I can't wait to escape this cold weather!

3. Gifts & Holidays

This will never get old.

2. Spending time with friends and family that I haven’t seen in awhile.

Reunited and it feels so good.

1. NOT having school work to do!

Imagine that!!!

Sounds amazing, time to relax and do absolutely nothing...

Yeah, until I'm bored and wishing I was back at school!

However you choose to spend your break, make it a great one! Know that next semester brings a fresh start. Stay safe, warm, stress-free and have a happy holiday!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
