This is how people of the age ranging from high school to college choose to destress when they are overwhelmed with something important to them.

When you have too much to do and feel overwhelmed take a quick nap. Set a timer for twenty to thirty minutes and grab some shut eye. It will refresh you and help you be ready to get back to work.
3. Listen to Music

Grab your headphones, pick a song, blare your music, and dance your heart out. Doing this will energize you and create adrenaline that will help you have the motivation to do your stressful work.
4. Cuddles

My friends Ailey and Z recommend this. You are able to be in the company of someone who will wrap themselves around you to comfort you. This will slow your breathing and heart rate causing you to relax and release endorphins.
5. Exercise

Sweating is a great way to release the toxins in your body. Grab a friend or go alone to the gym and break a sweat. If you aren't feeling the gym go for a walk outside. I recommend going to the art museum because you can people watch and see artwork.
6. Redecorate

Change your sheets, move your dressers around, or even put up some lights. This helps you focus on the task at hand and you can be as creative as you want with it. For example, I was stressed for exams and began putting up Christmas decorations around my room. Which it helped me relax and enjoy what I was doing.
7. Cook or bake

Pick out your favorite food recipe and get to work. Blast some music or watch a movie while working on your recipe. If you want something quick you can bake peanut butter cookies. My friend gave me her moms simple recipe. You mix together a cup of peanut butter, sugar, and one egg. Then you place them on a cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes in an oven set to 355 degrees.
8. Play with an animal
If you have a pet go and play with them. Grab a ball and play fetch with your dog. Use a string to play with your cat. If you don't have an animal, go and find a friend with one. You'll be distracted by their cuteness.
9. Go for a drive
My friend Harper introduced me to this. She would always go on drives for fun or to clear her mind. I began doing this and it works. You can play whatever music you want, roll the windows down, and focus on driving. This helps you choose between what is truly important and what you shouldn't focus on.
10. Take a bath

Fill up a bathtub with warm water and be extra with the additions to it. Use a bath bomb, rose petals, candles, play some music, and even grab a good book. This will physically relax your body, which will relax your mind.
When you feel stressed, these tips can help you come back to Earth. Remember, the bad feelings will pass.
