Top 10 Best TV Show Couples
Odyssey

SPOILER ALERT: This article may contain spoilers of who ends up with who in some TV shows, and I suggest NOT reading it if you are not up-to-date with the most current episodes of shows like "The Vampire Diaries", "Grey's Anatomy", "Jane The Virgin", and "The Office."

Whether the series is a hit sitcom, popular soap opera, or based off of a novel or comic book, just about every TV show has at least one power couple. Sometimes they're on again/off again, and sometimes they stay strong through all the chaos the writers throw their way. No matter how solid or shaky the relationship might be, we viewers still love them and root for them through it all. I personally am not the most seasoned when it comes to TV shows, but the shows that I do watch, I watch faithfully. With that being said, Here's my list of the "Top 10 Best TV Show Couples."

10. Bonnie & Enzo

This couple ranks last on the list only because they're basically a brand-new couple, so there's no telling what might happen with them. Otherwise, though, this is a TV couple I hold very dear to my heart. I won't lie, when Bonnie and Enzo's romance was first foreshadowed in season 7 of "The Vampire Diaries", I was not excited. However, once their love story started unfolding, I was hooked. It don't know if it was because of their Beauty-and-the-Beast-esque story, or because of the way Enzo always, endearingly calls Bonnie "love" in his delicious English accent, Bonnie and Enzo have quickly earned a place in my heart.

9. Donna & Eric

"That 70's Show" was a series that made everybody burst with laughter. The best thing about Donna & Eric is that they were truly best friends that fell in love with each other. Even throughout their romantic relationship, they still joked and talked with each other just like friends. Also, their romance perfectly exemplified how high school relationships can come with extreme awkwardness, but that only makes it that much better if it lasts till the end.

8. Jane & Rafael

How this couple began is far from conventional, with Jane being accidentally artificially inseminated with Rafael's baby even though she was engaged to someone else and he was married to someone else. Nevertheless, these two somehow were able to spark a romance that will make your heart swoon and sigh... even with all the baby drama. The perfect kisses, late night talks, and heart-throbbing moments these two shared with each other are bound to make your list of #goals.

7. Jane and Michael

I'm not gonna lie, even though I was rooting for Jane and Rafael, I can't deny that these two are perfect for each other. Michael loved Jane even through her falling in love with someone else. You're bound to fall in love with the way these two know each other like the back of their hands, make each other laugh and smile, do anything for each other, and love each other unconditionally.

6. Damon & Elena

This couple epitomizes how the best kind of love is an imperfect one. Elena had everything she could have ever needed with Stefan, but the problem is that he was too good for her. Damon whisked away her heart without her permission, challenged her, drove her crazy, and even though these two are polar opposites, she couldn't dream about being with anyone else. Likewise, Elena brought out the good in Damon, which is something that he thought he never had in him to begin with. I know that the vampire-human love affair story is sort of overdone and ridiculous, and I'm not exactly proud to say it, but I loved watching this couple end up together. To be honest, they're the reason "The Vampire Diaries" is one of the TV shows that have ever made me cry—quite excessively, too.

5. Pam & Jim

More affectionately known as "Jam," this couple has one of the most endearing love stories out there. You can't help but root for them because they're so gosh-darn relatable to the kind of romances that happen in real life. These two have nothing but absolute respect for each other. They're both intelligent and practical, but still passionate about each other. They find joy in the little things that make their relationship special, they make each other laugh, and they make all of us laugh with them. Nothing's sweeter than Jam.

4. Ross & Rachel

"Friends" was one of the most iconic TV series out there, and Ross and Rachel were one of the most iconic TV show couples because of it. They practically invented the concept of on again/off again, and they taught the world that, even if you are on a break, that does not mean it's okay to sleep with other people. This is a couple that always keeps you on your toes, and they will undoubtedly have you screaming multiple times at your television, "NO! They were SO close!"

3. Monica & Chandler

It might've taken them roughly five seasons to finally make it to each other, but once they did, they never turned back. Unlike Ross and Rachel, when these two best buds realized that they felt more for each other than just friendship, it only went forward from there. Nothing can beat the secret rendezvous in London, the time Chandler realized he loved Monica only when she was dancing around with a turkey on her head, or their team proposal in their candle-lit living room. Monica and Chandler are a couple that no one expected to happen, but everyone was glad for once it did.

2. Sun & Jin

This couple from hit TV show "LOST" touched the hearts of everyone who watched it. When we first see them stranded on a mysterious island, we get the impression that Jin is a controlling, possessive husband that Sun must have somehow ended up with due to a series of unfortunate events. However, as the story progresses, we learn that these two really did love each other once upon a time. In fact, Jin fought so hard to prove his love for Sun and win Sun's father's approval, that he got too caught up in it, which ultimately is exactly what fizzled out their relationship. However, they both find their way back into that love while they're trapped on the island. They rediscover that they would never leave each other's side, no matter what, even until the end of time...

1. Derek & Meredith

Ah, Der and Mer. Where do we even begin? The post-it, the tumor on the wall, the dream house, the Zola. These two have a love story that survived literally anything the world could possibly throw at them (or, rather, what Shonda Rimes could possible throw at them). The road to romance wasn't easy for Derek and Meredith. Who could forget when Derek's wife Addison walked in and crashed all of Meredith's dreams? Or when Derek got shot in the chest by that psycho-shooter and Meredith screamed over his body, "If YOU die, I DIE!"?

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
