My favorite comedy show is, without a doubt, "The Office."
Throughout life, awkward moments present themselves every day, and this show is perfect at making light of those moments. Whenever I seem down or gloomy, this show always puts a little pep in my step. So, here
Murder (S6E10)
"Murder" remains my far and away favorite episode of the entire series. Amid rumors of Dunder Mifflin going bankrupt, Michael finds that the best way to cheer everyone up is to play a murder mystery game where he plays Aussie playboy Kaleb Krawdad, I do declare. If I ever need a laugh, this is my go to episode.
Christmas Party (S2E10)
This episode was dethroned by "Murder" for the top spot, but this one still gets me every time. For the office's Secret Santa gift exchange, Michael goes above and beyond the twenty dollar limit, getting Ryan an iPod. After Michael opens his gift of a handmade oven mitt, he decides that Secret Santa must turn into "Yankee Swap."
The Convict (S3E9)
Who could forget the birth of Prison Mike? After a new employee from the Stamford branch is revealed to have served time in prison, he explains that his life in prison was actually pretty luxurious, leading some to believe that prison was better than the office. This upsets Michael, who creates a "Prison Mike" persona to show what prison is -really- like.
Goodbye, Toby (S4E18-19)
If you like song parodies, you'll love this episode. Michael's least favorite employee, Toby, is leaving the office to move to Costa Rica, and the office has to plan a party. Michael evens gives a rendition of Supertramp's "Goodbye Stranger," simply replacing the word "Stranger" with "Toby." Not just that, but Jim hopes to finally propose to Pam, and Michael meets the new HR woman who might just be his lover. Great episode, excellent comedy that we all know and love from the show.
Diversity Day (S1E2)
Some like to say that season one of "The Office" is a bit of a slow burn, but I'd tend to disagree with that, as the Diversity Day episode is one of the series' best. After Michael had made some disparaging comments regarding a certain ethnicity, a representative from corporate has to appear and teach a lesson on diversity. Hilarity ensues as Michael takes it upon himself to co-teach the class.
Basketball (S1E5)
Another great episode of season one, this installment combines comedy with my favorite sport, basketball. After the warehouse team sets up two basketball goals, Michael finds it prudent to have a basketball game between the upper level office members and the warehouse. Taking the game rather seriously, Michael adds a stipulation that the loser has to come in on Saturday. It gets rather competitive. Complete with the awkward humor and overbearing state of the star, Steve Carrell, this episode is a must watch.
Dwight's Speech (S2E17)
I don't really need to say anything here. I'll just leave this YouTube link.
Gay Witch Hunt (S3E1)
One of the classic episodes of the series, this installment relies more on awkward, cringeworthy humor. In this one, Michael discovers that Oscar is gay, and ends up telling the whole office about it, trying to say that it is okay. After he is scolded by Oscar for his ignorance... something crazy happens...
Dinner Party (S4E9)
Possibly the most awkward episode of the whole series, Michael and Jan invite Jim, Pam, Andy, and Angela over for a casual dinner party. Michael and Jan's relationship problems really begin to show which leads to a few weird exchanges. Sometimes I have to skip through the most awkward parts of "The Office," and this episode is one I have to skip through quite frequently.
Casino Night (S2E22)
After Michael decides it would be a good idea to host a Monte Carlo night, he hilariously ends up asking two girls on dates, hoping that they won't meet. It's a solid episode that provides laughs all the way through. No dull moments.
