The Republican National Convention was full of great speeches and awesome moments that made you feel proud not just be a Republican, but to be an American. The RNC was full of good and sometimes intense moments of reality that this country is experiencing. As I watched, there were eight speeches that truly stuck out as the most influential. One thing you will notice about the RNC is all the American flags everywhere, the praying, and how much each speaker talks about God, things that were all lacking within the DNC. Listed below, in no specific order, are the women and men who truly impacted the RNC in deeper ways than one. If you missed the opportunity to witness them speak, I have attached them here in this article. You won't regret checking them out.
1. Willie Robertson
Who doesn't love Willie Robertson? If his American bandana didn't portray is Patriotism enough, his speech sure did! In the 'Duck Dynasty' way, he began his speech with a prayer for our country. He even points ad makes fun of the bias and false media when he says "it must be humbling to be so wrong about so much, for so long." His humble speech yet proud speech exempted his proud southern roots. "Donald Trump will have your back," when it comes to having a business, serving our country, keeping it safe, or a veteran.
2. Scott Baio
Maybe it is just me, but I did not know who Scott Baio was before this speech but his awesome words will make me never forget him! "America, the greatest country God ever created." AMEN! He also noted that being an American, does not mean getting free stuff. Can I get another, AMEN? The American Dream is real with the hard work and drive to get where each American wants to be! Great speech Scott Baio.
3. Mark Geist and John Tiegen
This speech opens up with extreme transparency and a shot right at Killary, sorry I mean Hillary Clinton. That is the great thing about Trump and his supporters, they will tell the truth no matter how hard it is to hear it. That is exactly what these two men did. Some people thought this speech went on too long, but I believe the story and truth behind Benghazi deserved every second. And these two brave men surely made it worthwhile with their awesome humor.
4. Jamiel Shaw
I cannot imagine what this man went through with his son's death and am infuriated right along with him. Simply because it could have and should have been prevented. By the end of this moving speech, you will know and fully understand the problem with our border security and immigration system. Isn't it amazing that Donald Trump was the only one that called to give his condolences when the POTUS did not (who, by the way, is the first when it comes to BLM's victims?).
5. Marcus Luttrell
W-O-W. Is all I could say right after I heard this speech. If nothing else out of this article, please take time to watch this one. This man gave this heart-felt plea for American Veterans everywhere and even ditches the teleprompter and goes off-script midway through. It can't get more genuine then that. This Ex-Seal and "Lone Survivor" made us all proud to be an American and ready to make it great again.
6. Melania Trump
I am still in disbelief the "oh-so-accepting" liberals could make fun of her accent in her speech. But then again, I'm totally not because she doesn't agree with them. Nothing screams intelligence like being able to speak five different languages. How great is it that Trump, her husband, introduced her himself. "I am fortunate for my heritage but also for where it brought me today... I arrived in New York City 20 years ago... On July 28, 2016 I was very proud to become a citizen of the United States, the greatest privilege on planet Earth!" Amen. That is the type of pride all Americans should have, no matter where they come from.
7. Eric Trump
He truly showed the joy and love he had for his father up on stage. His rant with the issues in this country is absolutely perfect. All around great speech and opens up our eyes a little more to the life of Donald Trump and his successful business that created so many jobs. The best quote of all, "It is time for a president who knows how to sign the front of the check, not just the back."
8. Darryl Green
He began this speech by giving God the Glory. One thing I loved about the RNC is how much they do this very thing. He had some humor to him, as well, "after 7 1/2 years all we have left in our pockets is change." He points out the facts that we are more racially divided today than before he took office, ironically with having a black president. After pointing out the depleting safety of this country he takes a swing at dangers of radical islam and yes of course... Killary. "And we all know she loves her pantsuits, but we should send her an email and tell her she deserves a bright orange jumpsuit."
9. Ivanka Trump
I just loved Ivanka's speech. I believe she was Trump's best campaigner by far by being the only speaker to truly appeal somewhat to the left. She spoke about how more women executives in his company than men, they are equally paid and pregnancy does not result in them being shut out of the workforce. She brings clear-cut facts stating gender has nothing to do with the wage gap, motherhood is and offers new labor laws and affordable childcare. She also looked stunning in her $138 dress (verses Killary's $12,495 jackets she loves to sport at her events). Her opinions are not based off of restricting party affiliation but off of what she "believes is right for her family and country." This clear-minded and hopeful speech is definitely one to witness.
10. Patricia Smith
Nothing is quite more moving than a mother's love for her son, and this speech really puts you right in her shoes. If you did not think Benghazi was detrimental before, you should now. These brave men and women defending our country over seas are real people with mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and children. These people gave the ultimate sacrifice, so answers to their questions and honesty is the least their families deserve. Some might believe that to have the mother of a Benghazi victim speak is a bit much and that it is wrong to 'use her grief as a part of her agenda.' To this I must wonder how wrong it is that Obama uses every tragedy done at the hand of a gun as a chance for his gun control agenda. Or how about the seven mothers of sons killed by police, Killary had speak at the Democratic National Convention for her agenda? All of that aside, Patricia Smith delivered a genuine, moving and sincere message to America, one that we all stand behind and are honored to have heard.
