It's that time again: the end of the semester. Final projects, exams, and applications for various future plans are due. You could be doing work, or, you could be procrastinating... Choose procrastination, choose life and fun. Here are some things to help with this excellent life choice.

1. Watch (or re-watch) every season of "Parks and Rec"

Because it's excellent job application motivation. I want to work there. Please?

2. Stickers

Find stickers and buy them, especially if they are vintage Lisa Frank sticker packs from the 90s. Guaranteed popularity, and you can decorate the homework you aren't doing. Win win.

3. Vision Boards

Find magazines and print out pictures of things you like. Make an inspiration board and cover it in whatever you want. It can also just be a collection of random pictures you like with no rhyme or reason. (Mine has pizza cats, a photoshopped picture of me and Michelle Obama, and a Halloween skeleton if you need any inspiration)

4. Coloring In

Find some colored pencils and print off a sample from a grown up coloring book then go to town. Spend hours coloring, and pretend that essay you have to do isn't real.

5. Go outside and do something weird

Because why not. It's oddly liberating. Follow someone, or use bird calls to communicate with your friends, whatever.

6. Dye your hair

And then regret it instantly.

7. Fall into a Wikipedia hole

Start searching for something simple, and follow links for hours until you learn all the new things. You can use your new found knowledge to impress a wide variety of new people.

8. Cook something fun

Might I suggest a recipe from the AMAZING Two Chains cookbook? You need it in your life.

9. Start a blog

I don't understand Tumblr. Don't do it. Start a blog and make your friends all subscribe. They'll love it and you, I promise.

10. Fake blood

Put it on your face like a vampire and walk around with it on all day, and see what people have to say. Be like Vampire John (pictured above) Fun prank? Maybe. Better than working? 10/10 yes.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
