Top 10 Places Where A Hokie Likes To Eat In Blacksburg

I put out a survey to Virginia Tech students, of all ages, of what they prefer to eat around the town of Blacksburg. There are several dining areas to eat in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech is famous for its dining services but where do Hokies off-campus like to eat?

1. Cookout

From burgers to hot dogs to their world famous milkshakes, Hokies thrive on this famous eatery.

2. Chipotle

What's E. Coli?

3. El Rodeo (El Rod's)

The ultimate bar spot for over-21 students, it's the best place to gather with friends and enjoy a night out. And tacos, I might add.

4. Joe's Diner

Where should Hokies go for Sunday brunch when West End Market isn't open? This small, hole-in-the-wall diner on Main St that fills up every weekend on Saturday and Sunday mornings, of course.

5. Bull & Bones

Located on S. Main St near (Gucci) Kroger, it's another bar for over-21 students to gather and watch a sporting event, but also a prime date spot. It is also a good family restaurant where many Hokie families get together. Pro tip: stay away from Bull & Bones on move-in weekend.

6. Cabo Fish Taco

If Bull & Bones wasn't the prime date spot for couples, Cabo is the place for those *cough cough* couples. It's the place where every girlfriend wants their boyfriend to take them on their monthaversery. Boys, take notes.

7. Sharkey's

Another bar spot. Classic Main St.

8. Kobe

Hokies go-to Chinese food takeout. The chicken combination is the perfect invention since they put mayonnaise in a jar.

9. Gillie's

Oh, look, another brunch place to go after a long night out. This time, it's for health nuts.

10. Virginia Tech Dining

Who can resist the number one dining services in the country? Day or night, the dining hall is always the place to be. Whether it's Sunday morning brunch at West End, 2 AM DXpress, or chicken parmesan days at Owens Dining Hall, VT Dining will forever be #1 in my heart.
