Top 10 Parks And Recreation Characters

Poor Jerry

Top 10 Parks And Recreation Characters
Beta Series

Although I am late to jump on the Parks and Recreation bandwagon, I started watching it at the recommendation of my roommate and I love it. I started it less than a week ago and I've already seen five of the seven seasons. It's witty and definitely entertaining, something many sitcoms tend to lack. Anyone who has binge-watched a show knows you're always going to have favorite and least favorite characters, it's inevitable. While I don't really HATE any specific characters from Parks and Recreation, these are my personal favorites, ranked.

10. Jerry Gergich

Poor Jerry. I have nothing against him, he's just Jerry.

9. Ann Perkins

Ann is supposed to encompas the "perfect best friend" and while she does that, there's also times she kind of annoys me. She whines a lot. That grabbed her the number nine slot.

8. Donna Meagle

Donna and Tom's "treat yo self" episode was iconic, however, Donna really does lack some character development, so she couldn't really be much higher on the list.

7. Tom Haverford

Again, "treat yo self" is ICONIC. Tom is just a bit too much for me. He's always a good laugh, though.

6. Chris Traeger

I LOVE Chris Traeger. He is LITERALLY the most positive person I've ever seen, even though he isn't technically real. Bummer.

5. Andy Dwyer

We are all Andy Dwyer in one way or another. This GIF of Andy is my favorite. And if you don't like Andy, you may take a liking to Bert Macklin, FBI.

4. Ron Swanson

Ron is the bomb. Ron probably doesn't believe in lists, so his place at number four wouldn't affect him much.

3. April Ludgate

I personally identify with April Ludgate. Her dark humor and sarcasm is the freaking best. She has a lot of one liner's that, even if you haven't watched Parks and Rec, you probably know.

2. Leslie Knope

Leslie is the eccentric main character of the series. She's hilarious, relatable, and she cares for everyone around her. The only reason she didn't get the number one slot is because of...

1. Ben Wyatt

Ben is my absolute FAVORITE character in the whole freaking series. He is the most sarcastic and dramatic character in the series, but he's still the best. With a face like that, it would be hard for him to not have the number one slot.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
