The film industry has developed and evolved drastically over the past years. Specifically, film series, have been around for several decades. The corporate mentality is to look at films as “products” thereby naming a series of films a “franchise." But these so called “products” or “movie series” have become the new face of the film industry. Here is a list of the top ten best movie series:

10. Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings series is one that is admired for multiple reasons, as director Peter Jackson certainly did a fantastic job of bringing Middle Earth to life. Frodo's journey from The Shire to Mount Doom in an attempt to destroy the Ring took the audience on one of the most accelerating adventures in cinematic history, all the while keeping in sync with the original book.

9. Indiana Jones

The Indiana Jones series has been a very popular one for years in the film industry. Mostly because of the life of Indiana Jones, though it is fictional, is the more exciting and fascinating than we could imagine. Also, the character of Jones himself is very appealing the audience. A kind, hardworking archeologist just trying to learn more about the world has always attracted many.

8. Ice Age

With nearly $3 billion in worldwide revenue, Ice Age is the second highest grossing animated movie series behind Shrek. Combined with a twist of comedy and wittiness, Ice Age has always been a great family movie.

7. Hunger Games

The beauty of the series comes from the plot itself. An underdog’s journey to rebel against a dangerous tyranny. What’s there not to love about this story? Though the first book was released in 2008, the Hunger Games series has shaped pop culture and has brought some of the most famous stars in Hollywood into the spotlight.

6. Marvel

In 2008, Marvel Studios released Iron Man into the world, unleashing a fan base like no other. Years later we are over twenty movies in (e.g. Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War — Part 1, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers: Infinity War — Part 2 all scheduled for the next few years) and for now, there seems to be no end. Overall, the Marvel series has shown us that with some hard work and passion, a superhero movie series can evolve to become one of the biggest movie franchises ever.

5. Batman

At this point, we have seen nearly a quarter of a century of Batman movies produced by Warner Bros., starring with Tim Burton and Michael Keaton’s 1989 original to the latest Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. And the appeal and fascination continues.

4. Transformers

Michael Bay’s franchise escalated to the top of the ratings for the best movie series ever when introduced in 2007, allowing Shia Lebouf and Megan Fox to become household names. News of the next movie named Transformers: The Last Knight made fans ecstatic.

3. Star Wars

For years, the star wars series has provided us with some of the best movies of all time. Not only that, but it has also created one of the biggest fan bases ever. The fan base’s potential was proven after the latest star wars movie (The Force Awakens) released. After critics were raving over the recent movie, the newest movie’s trailer was released. And fans couldn’t be more thrilled.

2. Twilight

Stephanie Meyer teen vampire book fathomed a huge cult following amongst young adults. A year later, one of the best movie series of all time, brought to life by a fantastic cast, was born. 1.Harry Potter

This is a given. The Harry Potter series is no doubt the best movie series ever! J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter books were always projected to become one of the best movie series of all time. Seven books, eight movies, two amusement parks and millions of dollars later the world’s favorite wizard has proven his potential. With legendary actors in its cast, alongside some new faces, the wizarding world was first introduced to the Muggle world in 2001. Seventeen years later, the movie “Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them” is releasing. And Harry Potter fans couldn’t be more excited. I know I am!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
