Skincare is something I have a genuine passion for. My heart gets all giddy when I see a new product I've never tried before and I probably will never stop until the day I get completely clear skin. Honestly, I probably won't even stop after that. I one day aspire to be that woman whose skincare routine consists of only La Mer and SK-II products, but as a budgeting college student I'll stick to my cheap but satisfying Korean skincare products.

It might help that I'm Korean so I know the bits and pieces of what products I need and use so to help anyone curious of what to start with, here are my top 10 favorite products!

1. Innisfree Facial Sheet Masks

I live for these masks. Or sheet masks in general, but especially these ones from InnisFree. Not only do they fit my face shape and size perfectly, I feel the difference in my skin the next morning, unlike many other masks. I use these masks every other day, which is a lot but thank goodness they're cheap!

2. Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Mist

This is the one product that is always in my routine, no matter how many times my routine changes. I feel empty and incomplete without this product (overdramatic, yes, but true). I'm not quite sure as to why I love this product so much but it does do the job!

3. MISSHA The Revolution Treatment Essence

I have love/ hate relationship with this product. It's in my routine right now and my skin feels squeaky clean after putting this on, the one thing I hate about it is the smell. I can't really describe what it smells like but all I know is that I cannot stand it. But it does remove any makeup residue my cleanser never cleaned so I guess this also does it's job.

4. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

This is honestly more of a moisturizer to me than a mask. It has a very watery texture and more of a gel than a cream. It's a very thin product so even with it on you feel like nothing is on, which some people prefer. For me I like the feeling of knowing a product is on my face so sometimes I'll apply another layer just to be safe. I apply this every other day I don't use the facial sheet masks.

5. Saturday Daily Moisturizing Cream

This brand, as far as I know, is a fairly new brand. Now that doesn't mean that it's not good because its actually the opposite. This is the current moisturizer I use and I love it. It's definitely more of a cream moisturizer and leaves a slight feeling that you have something on. Not only is the entire product line this gorgeous pastel pink the products actually work!

6. Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam

To be honest I haven't found a foam cleanser I love yet. Slightly disappointing but I'm still on the look out! This one I will say is in my top tier, as it doesn't have too strong of a scent and does an amazing job removing my makeup. It also was suggested by a specialist for removing acne, which I believe does exactly that!

7. Neogen Lemon Bio Peel

This is also one of the products that took the crowd by storm. This is one of the rare Korean beauty products being sold in stores in Sephora. This is a unique product . because its like a toner, which is used with a cotton pad to wipe the face. This specific product is the two mixed into one. Not only does this gauze do the toning and put nutrients into the skin but it also exfoliates the skin.

8. Nature Republic Aqua Cream

If my other moisturizer was more of a cream base this one is the opposite. This one is definitely more of a watery gel base but extremely moisturizing. It has a similar consistency to the Laneige overnight mask but stays on longer than the mask. It also has a cooling effect so it feels extremely refreshing when put on.

9. Son & Park Beauty Water

This is probably my all time favorite toner. This is also a fairly new product but won over everyone's heart. It's not only sold online but also sold in stores like Sephora! This does have a distinct scent to it, its not a bad one but not a distinctive artificial smell. It does a fantastic job removing all residue left on the skin and whilst cleaning it at the same time.

10. Skinfood Yuja Water Serum

Anything in this Yuju line has my heart. I may be a bit bias as I am a sucker for anything citrus scented, but they work just as well as they smell. I've only ever used the serum and emulsion but looking at how much I enjoy the two products I know the other products are equally amazing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
