There's something about worship songs that can just instantly change my mood and make my heart so happy. Whenever I'm feeling hopeless, discouraged, joyful, excited, anxious or whatever else it may be, one worship song can instantly encourage and reassure me. So if you're looking for some quality Jesus jams, take a peek at some of my favorite worship songs.

1. Wonder (spontaneous)- Amanda Cook, Bethel Music

First of all, Amanda Cook is awesome and super talented. This song is pretty mellow and simple, but has such a strong message. It's essentially a prayer asking God "may we never lose our wonder." It asks that we will always have that child-like awe of God's beauty and glory.

Favorite lyrics:

"Wide eyed and mystified, may we be just like a child, staring at the beauty of our King"

2. Let it Happen- Andrea Marie, United Pursuit

This has to be one of my all time favorite worship songs. It's a call for us to just let it go and give it all over to our Father because He made us, He loves us and He is in control.

Favorite lyrics:

"So take me back, back to the beginning, when I was young, running through the fields with you"

3. Pieces- Steffany Gretzinger, Bethel Music

This is a song simply about Jesus' perfect love for us. It's such a great reminder of how wonderfully loved we are by our heavenly Father.

Favorite lyrics:

"Unreserved, unrestrained, Your love is wild, Your love is wild for me. It isn't shy, it's unashamed, Your love is proud to be seen with me"

4. We Dance- Steffany Gretzinger, Bethel Music

This is such a beautiful song about the intimate and precious relationship we can each experience with our savior and Lord. It talks about dancing with Jesus essentially through life, as He guides and leads each and every one of us while we He holds us in His arms.

Favorite Lyrics:

"And I've been told to pick up my sword and fight for love, little did I know that Love had won for me, here in Your arms"

5. Furious - Jeremy Riddle, Bethel Music

Just a song about His furious love, and it's freaking awesome.

Favorite lyrics:

"His love is deep, His love is wide and it covers us. His love is fierce, His love is strong, it is furious. His love is sweet, His love is wild and it's waking hearts to life"

6. I Surrender- Hillsong

A good encouragement about surrendering literally everything to Jesus and letting Him take control.

"Like a rushing wind, Jesus breathe within. Lord have Your way in me"

7. Here As In Heaven- Elevation

Favorite lyrics:

"Overflow in this place, fill our hearts with your love. Your love surrounds us, You're the reason we came"

8. Nothing I Hold On To- Will Reagan, United Pursuit

This song is about learning to be okay with giving it all up for Jesus when it comes down to it.

Favorite lyrics:

"I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open"

9. It Is Well- Kristene Dimarco, Bethel Music

Through the good and the bad, trusting in Him and Him alone.

Favorite lyrics:

"So let go my soul and trust in Him, the waves and wind still know His name"

10. Ever Be- Kalley Heiligenthal

So this song gets to me every single time. It's about consistently praising God because of his overwhelming goodness. It's such a beautiful reminder of the amazing Father that we have and how the least we can do is forever praise His name.

Favorite lyrics:

"You're making me like you, clothing me in white, bringing beauty from ashes, for You will have Your bride"

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
