If you were as fortunate as I was to attend Gov Ball 2016 (all two days of it), then you know what I mean when I say it was a good time. From the acts to the food to the weather, it was a fun (although cut short) weekend not to soon forget! Here are some of the highlights, whether you missed out or not.

1. Kim stood on the palms of her fans #praise

2. De La Soul made everyone, including the paparazzi, put their cameras and phones away to throw their hands in the air like they just don't care

Hence, there are no actual pictures of the crod going wild with thier hands in the air...

3. Mandy Lee from the MisterWives preached equality and the crowd went wild

Your political beliefs aside, she was super empowering. She spoke up and hyped up the crowd, making the MisterWIves performance unforgettable.

4. THE FOOD

It wasn't just one of the many indulgences, it was every single one that was its own highlight.

5. Miguel attempted to crowd surf and he was dropped

6. The rain came pouring down and it stopped NO ONE

Ok, maybe it stopped Day 3, but we all danced in the rain and huddled under tents throughout Saturday afternoon/evening. Well worth the mud on my shoes!

7. Carly Rae Jepsen surprised everyone with a performance with The Knocks

8. There was an iconic unicorn balloon

Not to mention a green monkey and parrott could be spotted throughout the festival grounds.

9. The artwork was on point

Artists from all over the world, from right here in NYC to the countryside of England, beautified Randall's Island with some of their best work.

10. For the 2/3 days lucky festival goers got to attend, fireworks stroked the sky to mark the end of killer performances

Get it? the headliners were the Strokes and the Killers! They both ended each day with their chart toppers and insane dance moves. The crowds went wild and were thrilled to see the sky lit up in honor of the festival.

I absolutely cannot wait to go back again next year! GovBall2017, here I come!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
