10 Things Every Foodie Knows To Be True

Let’s face it, some of the best things in life come from the kitchen. Brownies, pizza, burgers, cheese! and sometimes it is just hard to decide what you want to eat, but I guess that is just a first world problem we will have to learn to live with. Every foodie understands just how enjoyable food can be. The Foodie Community is probably the best one to be a part of!

10. You’re not exactly picky.

There is no wrong answer to the infamous question “where do you wanna eat?” You can just let your friends decide because you will not be disappointed.

9. New restaurant? No problem.

You’re not that friend that goes to the same restaurant every time you go out. New restaurants offer a new adventure with new flavors!

8. Most of your paycheck goes toward food – but that’s okay!

You can’t help but go out to eat the night your paycheck comes in (and as many nights after as possible). It is just as fun to try a new dish as it is to go see a movie – believe us.

7. Happy hour is your best friend.

What’s better than your favorite drink or appetizer? Your favorite drink or appetizer when its buy one get one! There is nothing better than getting that second drink for half price.

6. It’s SO hard to choose where to eat.

When other people pick – it’s is great, you’ll find something on the menu you love. But when it comes to your turn to pick, it’s almost impossible. You love so many restaurants that picking one is nearly impossible.

5. You know where to go for what you want in your city.

New York Pizza in Tampa? No problem. Chicago Hot Dogs? I got you. It doesn’t matter what dish or where the food originates from, a good foodie knows where to go to get it.

4. You never miss a meal and sometimes you have an extra one (or two).

Eating isn’t just for sustenance, it is for the enjoyment of the experience. We don’t skip breakfast, as a matter of fact, we have breakfast, second breakfast and sometimes elevenses.

3. You’re always on the lookout for a new place to eat.

You’re the first to know when a new taco truck is going to open, or where the new coffee joint is in town. No restaurant goes unnoticed in a foodie’s eye.

2. It’s all about the culture.

Every food has something more to offer than just a meal. It is like traveling to another time or place. Good food takes you places. A good Margherita pizza takes you straight to Tuscany; a rich shot of espresso will put you on the beaches of Cuba. Food offers a unique insight into the culture from which it originates.

1. You can always find a friend in another foodie.

The quickest way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach. You can learn so much about someone by the type of food they like, their favorite restaurants, and their go-to drinks. Eating a is proven to be the most effective way to connect. Us foodies stick together.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
